We visited the Ludwigsburg Mall location in the food court area. We had Maultaschen; Soup, with Egg and Spatzel, Wurst, Potato Salad and were impressed by the taste and quality. I visit Germany often and head right for the Pretzels and Maultaschen! Try this for a special Swabian treat.

Fabulous food. Excellent service. Great German cuisine. My only disappointment was there was no sauerkraut on the menu!

We've been going there for years but it just occurred to me to write a review of this unassuming restaurant which has consistently produced good value. The menu is short, divided between locally-sourced ingredients and "classic" offerings of the Schwaban cuisine (such as the entrecote with roasted onions). The emphasis on regional dishes guarantees freshness but also competence; these folks focus on what they do well. It is nice to know you will have a predictably-good dining experience and Speisekammer delivers. The decor is modern but not cold; the staff very friendly. The wine list features interesting local wines and a few foreign options.

"Der Rote Hirsch (the red deer)" is the modern interpretation of a regional wine restaurant. The well designed environment is a good place to enjoy. The concept of the restaurant is to use mostly regional and seasonal ingredients. The cuisine is modern-sw
This is a very nice and cosy place on the town square in Bad Cannstatt. The food was really tasty & fresh - European BBQ beef & local German famous dishes like Schnitzel, & to drink good local wine and some local craft beer. One of the best German dining experiences I had on my trip to Stuttgart.

We had dinner here after checking in (quite late) to the Mercure on the corner; dinner is served until 10pm. The beers were cold, well priced & flowing! We didn't order an entree rather went straight to the main. I was impressed because after only asking the waiter for a table & talking amongst the two of us he bought an English menu & a German menu! It's that kind of nice touch that I appreciate, especially after a long drive!I had the special of the day - lamb rack with beans & bacon (very German & amazing!) & roasted potatoes, served with a green salad. The lamb didn't have a sauce but it was succulent & delicious, a little salt & pepper was all it needed. My other half had the steak with green peppercorn sauce & fries. The sauce was quite possibly the best steak sauce I have ever tried...punchy garlic, whole green peppercorns & creamy deliciousness. The service was quick & efficient. The whole meal was 45EUR & from memory that included the tip. The other meals that were coming out of the kitchen also looked pretty amazing. Mains are well priced, they seem to range from about 10EUR to about 22EUR. If you're staying close by drop in & give this restaurant a go.

Located in the wonderful Porsche museum is where you'll find this gem. For a museum restaurant, it's one of the better I've been to. Boxenstopp has a sleek contemporary look, just like Porsche carTheir menu, while not extensive, offers a nice range of primarily German specialties at modest prices. Adult beverages such as beer & wine are also available. I had the Swabian ravioli (Mautltaschen) with potato salad. Theirs is the best I've had and the portion was filling. The friendly and professional staff here really hustles. They know how to handle a crowd. This poplar restaurant is open till 6pm.You don't have to visit the museum to eat here, but if you've never been, you'll want to. Enjoy your meal at Boxenstopp, in a cool setting, I did.

If you read the title and you read my December 2016 review, you will learn that Hupperts demonstrates one of the most important aspects of fine dining - consistency. Not just in food quality, but in their approach, service, presentation and friendly, hard-to-replicate atmosphere. Third time is a charm. This latest visit sealed the deal for me. We invited friends with high standards when it comes to dining out. This visit to Hupperts didn't disappoint. I finally got to partake in the sweet cigar/drinks lounge in the basement. We were asked if a fire would be a nice addition - it was a bit cooler - and it was awesome. I really didn't want to leave. The service continued even then...The attitude of the staff is incredibly humble given their background and experience. You will not find a friendlier dining experience in Stuttgart.

We were staying at the excellent little Feuerbach hotel at end of Oktoberfest. They recommended this restaurant. Service was classy, professional and warm, wines were good, and the food fantastic. Risottos and the pasta were second to none. we will be back!
