We had read about the restaurant and wanted to try the dry aged beef. We asked the owner about the choices and got good advice (we shared a t-bone steak). We added 2 appetisers - which were excellent (fish, not beef). We chose a local wine which was good too. And then we just walked up the stairs to our hotel room ... which was not as good as the restaurant, but ok.

Highly recommend this restaurant. Wonderful fish, great beer but the service makes it stand out. Happily prepared pasta for my fussy son that wasn't on the menu and made us all feel very welcome. Pizzas, pasta as well as fish and steak meant it was a favourite for all the family and we visited 3 times in 1 week.!

Although they have a short choice menu, you can't go wrong if you are looking for very fresh fish.We had a baked trout with potato salad and a plate of three different fishes, which was delicious. If the day is sunny they have a nice terrace with a magnific lake view.

We come here every time we stay in the area and are always happy with the food and service. The local wines are all good, which helps. Do try the hazelnut liqueur, their house speciality, as our daughter put it, liquid nutella!

We took the picturesque little boat from Altnau, Switzerland across the Bodensee to Hagnau for the evening. Our traveling companions had chosen the Winzerstube for dinner and it was wonderful! Our young waiter was incredible, describing dishes in detail and remembering the little nuances of our order. Beginning with a salad that included rounds of goat cheese wrapped in ham the meal just went from amazing to incredible. I ordered the steinbutt (fish) entree--a mild filet on a bed of tiny broiled tomatoes and shrimp. My companion ordered an array of local fish and ooohed and aahhhed over each piece. Looking out of the broad windows onto the Bodensee with lights and boats flickering it was truly magic. For dessert we shared a plate that included two scoops of chocolate mousse--one white chocolate and one dark...I can still taste it!

Amazing stuff, delicious and fresh meals, great fisch, quick and professional. Must have.We have choose this place for a lunch after Tripadviser reading - only that we can say, it was unexpactable great time there. The young man (sadly can not remember the name) is one of the best waiters which I ever saw.

Sunday lunch is pretty usual in England but for some reason not so in Germany, so we were surprised to find a restaurant open for Sunday lunch. We had reservations but really didn't need them as, despite the lively setting alongside a marina and quite close to a ferry dock, the restaurant wasn't very busy. Service at first was efficient but completely disappeared by the last course.Portions are large so only order a first course if you're really hungry. Salads were generous but not very tasty despite what should be tasty ingredients. The companion had the steak and cheese spatzle. Despite being cooked medium the steak was tough but the spatzle was under-seasoned. The entree came with a side salad. My dish of lake fish was generous with various fishes from Lake Constance. There were six small fillets, again well cooked but under-seasoned. The dish came with six boiled potatoes and a melange of shredded vegetables that looked like it had been sitting for a long while in a steam tray. Desserts, when we got them, were very good. My macaroon with fresh berries and berry ice cream was excellent tainted by the disappearance of almost every member of the wait staff. We sat for a good 20 minutes before someone patrolled the dining area. Then another 15 before we were able to order coffee and the bill. Can't explain the problem but suspect everyone clocked off at 14,00 despite customers still sitting at tables. If you choose the Seehof for a meal get there early.Thank you for your visit, hopefully you had a nice trip at the Bodensee. Seemed you have chosen the nicest locations around. Sincerely Jürgen Hallerbach

We just dropped here spontaneously for lunch. We had veal sausages with truffels taste and deer. The food was awesome, served together with very interesting dips and nice extras like hone made spatzle or roasted potatoes. The servants were nice and cheerful. We will back again definitely.

This is a super restaurant on the shores of the lake and with wonderful views. We stopped by here for lunch and had gorgeous reasonably priced food served with local wine. The menu and wine list offer something for everyone and I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant Rebstoeckle was a gem that we found by accident. While strolling down Seestrasse to find a restaurant, we passed many restaurants and read many menus. When we walked by the outdoor tablets at Rebstoeckle, the food smelled and looked delicious. We were not disappointed. We were welcomed inside and felt right at home. The soups and kaese spaetzle were delicious. My husband thought the schnitzel with the homemade sauce (gravy) was so amazing, he wanted to lick the plate. The service was great. The chef's wife (sorry I don't know her name) was very patient and found a menu in English for us. She was so hospitable and sweet to our 10 year old son. She brought a container full of colored pencils and a coloring paper for him to use. She always had a smile on her face. Chef Dietmar is very personable and passionate about his cooking. He came out after completing dinner service and began chatting with the customers. He sat and talked with us, making us feel at home. We enjoyed it so much, this was our favorite restaurant of our trip throughout Germany. We will definely go back when we visit Germany again.
