Schnitzelbank did not disappoint! The best German meal that we had during our trip through the country. I'm a huge foodie so I'm always looking for the best restaurant or hole-in-the-wall spots. The restaurant served some of the best popular German dishes. Everything that we ordered was cooked perfectly and delicious. Already planning to go back just to eat here!

We were a larger group having dinner in the Wurzburger Hof. It was nice weather, so we could sit outside in the garden. We tried several meat dishes with pork and beef. The beef fillet was excellent. The beer was served in ceramic glasses, which made it special. Service was above average

We wanted somewhere 'ordinary' in the best sense, took a Number 5 tram from the centre and weren't the least disappointed. In fact, this was one of the nicest meals of our ten-day holiday. Succulent steak for me, tasty chicken noodles for my wife, with superb side-salads. German spirits to end with. All served by an enthusiastic and helpful waiter who seemed absolutely delighted to welcome two English visitors. We walked back to the centre along quiet streets.

We stopped off for a drink while on a bike tour along the river. It was starting to get busy and we got one of the few unreserved tables on the patio. Service was quick, and friendly. The beef salad on the menu seemed very appealing, especially because there is livestock near the property. The meat is regional, and the salad was very good. It came with homemade bread and I will likely return just for the bread.

This place is in Brauergasse just off the main square,it's mainly a tourist restaurant but there are also a few locals drinking at the bar,it's quite a traditional German restaurant but the menu is pretty varied. The staff are friendly and the service is fast ( having said that it was early and not many people in ).The food is good, the prices are about the same as the other restaurants in Ladenberg (18 to 25 euro's for a main course )..
The perfect place on a summer evening. They offer German, Indian and Italian food. We only ordered German from the daily menu and it was very good. It helped that we were hungry, since their servings are generous. Service was very friendly and efficient.

Housed in a 17th century building, the interior of Die Kartoffel is lovingly filled with all sorts of antiques and bric-a-brac. In summer, guests can enjoy their meal al fresco under a 14th century âGewölbeâ (arch) or in their Biergarten. The quirky atmosphere is not the only attraction though. Die Kartoffel is well-known in the region as a place where you can enjoy a piece of meat like you would during the Stone Ages... well, almost! The house specialty is an Argentinian Black Angus steak served on a sizzling slab of lava stone heated to 400 (!) degrees Celsius. You get to grill your steak at your table, exactly how you like it.The steak meal comes with 3 different sauces, along with a baked potato smothered with homemade sour cream and a side salad.Other meats, prawns and even vegan and vegetarian options are available.Overall an enjoyable dinner with delicious food, good local wines and great service.Note: There is a ventilation system in the dining area, but it doesn't entirely remove the grill smoke from the tables, so be prepared to smell like a piece of grilled meat at the end of your meal!

This small restaurant became famous when they sent the King and Queen of Sweden away because of a wedding party. But it is also a very fine restaurant. The service is friendly and the menu shows that the chef likes to experiment and try different things. I could not resist to try the Wildschwein-Currywurst ( wild boar sausage with curry-tomato sauce) with sweet potato french fries. Less fatty than the traditional pork version and very tasty. My company emjoyed their choices too ... Which ranged from classic rumpsteak to wild chamois stew with dimplings. Unfortunately we did not have time to try the desserts. Will be back for more.

Don't be put off by the surrounding neighborhood, which is run-down looking. The traditional dishes are delicious. Probably one of the best cordon bleu that I have ever had. The rib eye was a thick piece, a real steak. There were various other dishes to choose from, including fish, chicken and pasta. The wine selection is small, mostly from the region, inexpensive, but the waitress selected one for us that pleased all of us. The only disappointment was the white asparagus. It didn't have much taste. Overall, it was a nice dining experience.

Had dinner here while spending a long weekend with friends in Heidelberg and found that everything was excellent: the food (both the taste and its presentation), the wine, the acoustics, the village of Ladenburg itself. It's a restaurant that I would definitely recommend.
