Great restaurant!! All was perfect, not only the food also the restaurant and the terrace. Service was nice and the place was more than clean.Fantastic place to have a drink or to eat. Kitchen is a fusion between Thai and German food. The result is 100 % perfect. NOT TO BE MISSED!!!!!If you are close you must go. We were staying in Neufrach, about 2 km. from the restaurant. I think itâs definitely one of the best restaurant in whole area.And prices were adequate too. Not expensive.

This is the kind of charming, friendly, famil-run hotel that one dreams about. Reck's is located in Salem, about a 10 minute drive from Lake Constance and we chose it because we were travelling with our two dogs. We were allocated a spacious and comfortable room on the ground floor that opened out directly onto a terrace and the lovely hotel gardens, with views over the surrounding countryside. The dogs were in heaven, and so were we! Reck's restaurant has a well-deserved reputation for the quality of its locally sourced ingredients and cooking. We had two terrific dinners and the breakfasts were outstanding. However I would also strongly recommend Reck's as a place to stay. The delights of Lake Constance are easily accessible, while the rural location is peaceful, untouristy and lovely (scattered with lakes, hopfields and vineyards and endless cross-country walking paths). All in all, Reck's is a gem: the complete antithesis of large, corporate and touristy hotels. The service was exceptional â friendly, warm and knowledgeable, and every aspect of rooms and restaurant were totally professional.

Six of us ate here the night we arrived from the Seattle. We were tired and very hungry. We went here upon a recommendation from the hotel receptionist and she did good. This was a fantastic introduction to the cuisine of the region and German hospitality in general.My command of the German Language remains minimal but was unneeded here. The manager described each dish and was very tolerant of questions. Most of us had a daily special of special locally made sausages with sauerkraut. Excellent.We were full but just had to have some apple strudel. We hav no trouble finishing those plates!If you visit Markdorf I recommend Schwanenstuble.

Grazioso locale nelle vicinanze del lago di Costanza ma ci si deve andare apposta.Locale tipico tedesco molto accogliente e famigliare.Buon servizio, cortesia del personale.Ho preso un filetto di manzo con verdure e patate.Carne un pò scarsa e troppo cotta così come le verdure che altro non erano che pezzettini di peperone e due cavolfiori.Non ci ritornerei. Beloved's aunt took us here for lunch. It's very "typical" - waitresses in dirndl etc - but it wasn't full of tourists, mostly locals. The food - South German dishes mostly - was excellent and nicely presented. The view (the weather was good enough for us to sit outside) is spectacular - just like in the pictures at http://www.hoechsten.de/

Ich habe schon viele Bewertungen geschrieben, aber mit dieser tue ich mich echt schwer. Wir kennen den Sternen seit 9 Jahren und gehen jedes Jahr im Herbst dorthin. Was uns in der Vergangenheit immer angesprochen hat war die bodenständige Küche und ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Dazu kamen noch ein paar Besonderheiten: die Salatsauce der GroÃmutter mit Orangensaft war göttlich. Die Suppe mit einer ganzen maultasche drin ebenfalls. Die kinderportionen waren ok. Zunächst gab es sie mit Salat, dann ohne, aber mit einem beilagensalat für 2,50 , jetzt gibt es nur noch den normalen beilagensalat für 4â¬. Es wurde nach und nach alles auf bio umgestellt, aber das Verhältnis passt nicht mehr. Von 2016 auf 2017 sind die maultaschen von 9,90 auf 13,50 verteuert worden = 35%! Den Klassiker mit zwiebelschmelze gibt es gar nicht mehr. Stattdessen nur noch überbacken mit Tomatensauce oder mit Mozarella-Kräutersauce. Wer kommt bitte auf so etwas? Die Portion war überschaubar aber lecker. Wurde man früher von der kleinen satt, reicht heute die groÃe nicht mehr. Die legendäre Salatsauce: verschwunden. Die maultaschensuppe: verschwunden. Zum vesperteller nur zwei kleine Scheiben Brot. Butter? Fehlanzeige. Der Sauerbraten vom Hirsch für 18,50â¬: zwei dünnste Scheiben von weniger als 1 cm. Allerdings: Qualität sehr gut. Zur Garnierung ein Zweig Rosmarin (gehört da gar nicht hin) und eine angebratene Kirschtomate, die der Koch zu lieben scheint und sogar an die maultaschen gegeben hat.Bedienung: sehr freundlich und aufmerksam wie immer. Fazit: der Sternen ist m.E. Kein bodenständiges Familienlokal mehr. Er will was âbesseresâ sein und geht in Richtung Mohren. Der Sternen hängt zwischen mediterran und Schwäbisch aber nix ist irgendwie richtig. Wir sagen nach 9 Jahren traurig ade.

If you are within an hour's drive... make it here for your meal... you will not be disappointed. Especially if you are a fan of wild game meals... the chef, and his late father were hunters and kept the larder full of wonderful things like venison and wild boar. Simply fantastic.

Wie jedes Jahr sind wir auch in diesem Jahr wieder im Rossknecht eingekehrt. Es gibt jeden Tag eine Tageskarte mit den Spezialitäten der Saison und man ist gut beraten, sich an diese Karte zu halten. Eine wunderbare flädlesuppe vorweg für faire 3,50 â¬. Der zwiebelrostenbraten mit Salat für 19,50⬠(2017): sehr gutes Fleisch und wie bestellt Medium. Andere nehmen dafür 10⬠mehr. Toll auch immer die wildgerichte. Die Bedienung ist super freundlich und flink. Die Chefin steht am Herd. Ihr Mann kümmert sich um die Gäste. Ein Besuch, der sich sicher lohnt.

We have beed there twice and I'm sure we get there again. The food is amazing. The culinary art of that place is unbelivable. Unfortunately not so many vegetarian choices but still you can find something for yourself even when you don't eat meat. The chef is always there and always very welcoming. You can feel like you are long-time-no-see friend. Place outside of anything but worth s drive.
