Tremendous discovery in the Black Forest. The Gasthaus is right in the middle of a wanderweg tour and about 100 metres from a beautiful waterfall. It was summer when we visited, so we sat outside but inside is unbelievably gemütlich. It was Friday evening, so they had a bbq (grill) going for visitors. Euro 19.90, so not cheap by German standards for this sort of place, but beautiful freshly cooked meat of all varieties (including fabulous Ziegenbratwürste - goat meat sausages) and lots of freshly made salads. All you can eat and for as long as you like. We have fussy friends visiting next week. Guess where we are taking them. Try it. Really. Grrat option in the area.

Since reviewing Bierhaeusle two years ago, we've visited a few times. It has been invariably excellent. Back in the area for the northern summer and made it here as quickly as possible. We weren't disappointed. The food, once again was delicious. The menu is not broad, but what they do is great. Very fair prices, friendly owners, food is great, wine is good and fairly priced .... I'm not sure what else you can ask for. Eat here. Thank you so much, we are very happy that you returned and were not disappointed, all the best wishes for you and perhaps see you again one day;))))

in dem alt ehrwürdigen hotel von 1733 finden Sie in den gemütlichen gasträumen eine sehr gute, abwechslungsreiche küche,die vom chef selbst geleitet wird, mit vielen produkten aus der region. saisonal ausgerichtet, sind die wildgerichte im herbst besonder
Auf einer Motorradtour bin ich dort wegen einer Ãbernachtung gelandet. Es gibt trockene Abstellplätze, und eine Schrauberecke. Das Personal ist durchweg sehr sehr freundlich (der Dialekt lässt das nicht sofort erkennen) und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind schön groà und lassen keine Wünsche offen. Die Küche ist sehr gut und hat ein ausgezeichnetes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.Für mich steht fest, dass ich bei meiner nâchsten Schwarzwald Tour hier wieder übernachten werde. Ein kleiner Minuspunkt: nach dem Abendessen dich die Kleidung sehr stark nach Küche. Kann man aber mit leben.

My favourite for many years now: unsurpassed Wiener Schnitzelmade from proper veal, with fantastic Bratkartoffel and a fresh salad. Excellent salad with fresh Pfifferlinge, too! Good, well selected wines from the region - and all that in a lovely traditional Schwarzwaldhaus or outside in the beautiful small Biergarten surrounded by flowers. It comes with very friendly service, too. That's why we come back over and over again. Thank you!

Lors d'une randonnée dans cette belle vallée, nous avons déjeuné dans cette belle auberge.L'accueil n'était pas délirant, mais la serveuse s'est déridée au long du repas.La carte est assez moyennement fournie, offrant quand même de beaux plats chauds ou froids.Nous avons pris des plats aux chanterelles (pfifferlinge), dont c'est la saison en fin d'été.La cuisine était bonne et bien servie: 2 escalopes de porc sur l'assiette, avec de bonnes spätzle et une salade (17â¬).Nous en avons eu pour 69⬠à trois, pour 4 bières, 3 plats d'escalopes aux chanterelles /spätzle / salade et 3 cafés.Assez pour repartir sur les chemins pour continuer notre randonnée.

Highly exceptional, the small mountain road towards this place was open for motorbikes when we passed the village of Bernau, so we have it a shot. After 10-15 minutes of careful riding (narrow, walkers and nasty stuff on the road) we arrived at the terrace of the hütte. We really enjoyed platter of different local sausages, meats, cheese, aspic, ham, bread and so on. The view and weather were awesome and it coudn't have been better.

From the outside the restaurant does not look incredibly inviting. However the interior does not look like much either. Why go here? Go for the food and the friendly down to earth honest service. This restaurant has a heart and a soul. A good menu everything is cooked from scratch. The staff is extremely well trained. Personal wishes are fulfilled. This time I enjoyed the wild garlic (Bärlauch) maultaschen. Delicious and well made. he wild garlic soup was good perphas a little less salt for my tasting but all together this was really good. Excellent choice if you are in the area. Food is great, location is lovely and staff friendly. Menu is Blackforest/Baden centric meaning all the favourites such as schnitzels and fresh water trout as there but you can add things such as very tasty venison, rabbit, liver and seasonal items. Not only the options but the fact that they were fresh sets Schwarzwaldhaus apart from most in the region. The fact that what we had was very well executed helps too. Only negative is that the prices for some items such as venison and rabbit are quite high, though the staples are market priced.

this restaurant is not what it appears to be!the service was below average, the food was of the same standard and the prices were above the german average. the french service was a joke, since the waiters did not know, what below the cloche!how can you serve a crispy cordon bleu , steaming under the cloche?just forget about it!
