We went to Restaurant Rebstock the other day to celebrate two birthdays in our family with a lunch. All of us looking forward to this experience, since we had been there before and love the terrace seating, overlooking the nicely landscaped park and the vineyards / Black Forrest hills. Unfortunately this time our experience was not very positive, mainly due to the service we got, or rather did not get. Food was good overall, very good local cuisine with fresh seasonal ingredients. However, from when we arrived and ordered it took well over one hour for us to receive our mains, and that's only when we asked for them. Especially for those of us without starters this was way too long, we ended up feasting on the meagre bread baskets as everyone was extremely hungry. On top we also had kids with us who finished all their kids portions and desserts before we even got our main course. When asking for the whereabouts of our food the response of the staff was not particularly caring, just borderline of not being bothered. Instead they kept on asking us at least ten times if everything was fine when passing by our table. Overall, this was quite a negative experience and I would think two or three times before I return. And in case someone from Restaurant Rebstock is reading this with an open mind: It's ok to charge a bit more on the prices side if you got a good package to offer, but if not, value for money calculation just does not work out. Service is an integral part of every restaurant experience, so take your guests seriously and show them that you genuinely care about them.

Don't think, simply go there; you will definitely not regret it. I am not sure if they speak English, but if you make to the place you will not have an issue anyway. The food is real traditional German with modern plating (the portions are huge so bring a good appetite).Vielen Dank für Ihre Bewertung!! Es freut uns, dass es Ihnen bei uns geschmeckt hat.

Gerne gehen wir in die Adlerstube...die Speisen sind immer sehr gut und der Service stets nett und zuvorkommend. Dort ist es gemütlich und man fühlt sich gleich wohl. Die Karte ist abwechslungsreich und das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmig. Ingrid und Heinz Maier

Hier lohnt ein 5 minütiger Abstecher von der Autobahn. Traditionell eingerichtetes Restaurant mit vielfältiger Speisekarte. Gute regionale Küche. Der Pfannkuchen mit Pilzen sowie die Bärlauch-Spaghetti mit Gambas waren ausgesprochen lecker und die Portion fast schon zu reichhaltig. Freundlicher, schneller Service.

Nous sommes venus en ce début de Novembre pour "l'oie de la Saint Martin" traditionnelle en Bade-Wurtemberg. Nous n'avons pas été déçus. Un beau menu autour de l'oie, cuisse ou poitrine au choix.Petite salade d'entrée puis l'oie avec ses garnitures chou rouge, poire pochée avec ses airelles, quenelle à la semoule et quelques champignons. J'ai oublié le dessert.Vraiment,ici on propose la cuisine badoise dans toute son authenticité,simplement en y mettant son cÅur.Les prix sont raisonnables et le décor sympathique :terrasse décorée en été, poêle en faïence l'hiver.Une maison à découvrir, nous nous reviendrons.

Das erste mal in diesem Gasthaus und sicher auch das letzte Mal! Schnitzel mit Fritten und Nierle mit Spätzle, beides mit Salat hatten wir uns für ein Mittagessen aus der eherlangweiligen Karte ausgesucht. Schnitzel und Steak dominierten auch hier.Der Salat bestand aus Bohnen und Möhren aus Glas oder Dose,etwas Gurke und ein paar Blättern Kopfsalat und Ruccola.Zwei gleichförmige, absolut trockene und fade Schnitzel mit fester Panade, offensichtlich TK, wurden von ebenso faden TK-Fritten begleitet. Es gab noch eine separate Sauce dazu, die so intensiv nach Fertigtüte roch, dass man nicht mehr probieren brauchte. Die Nierchen waren zwar gut geschnitten, aber natürlich nicht frisch. Die Mehlschwitze dazu war so dick, dass man sie mit der Gabel abstreifen musste. Die Spätzle leider auch nur Form ohneGeschmack. Bei diesem Essen war nichts frisch oder selbst gemacht. Eine komplette Enttäuschung!

My family and I ate at this restaurant the night that we were staying at the hotel. We were all deeply impressed! We sat outside to eat. There were pretty pot plants and the ambiance was generally lovely out there. The food was divine. I ordered the salmon saffron fettuccine and it was delicious. They had English menus which we found very helpful! The staff were efficient and polite.

This restaurant is in one of those solid, grey stone buildings that feature as hotels in so many German towns. Inside, the dining room is all creams and oranges, wooden banquets against the walls, a few alcoves and so on.......... the usual German village/town formula. Completely without individuality and almost, like so many English Chinese restaurants, as if the kit was rented from some central warehouse. This is the formulaic tragedy of so many urban places in Germany, and its a tragedy because once past that, the food is often good. Hanauer's was above average. The asparagus was wonderful, my wife's Weiner Schnitzel excellent (and she's a connaisseuse) and my Guinea fowl beautifully gamey. As important, the staff were courteous, professional and knowledgable; probably a family. One could not have expected to be better looked after. So please, please lets have some individuality, even a bit of eccentricity maybe, in the ambience.

We stayed at this guest house for 2 nights celebrating our 22 year anniversary. Travelled through the black forest. Their food was the best we had on our trip thus far!! Room very spacious! Lovely bathroom. Very clean and tidy. Breakfast was also great. The dinner was 5* plus!! We could not finish it! Felt so bad! Would definitely return if we had the opportunity. Strongly recommend this gorgeous place!
