This is a lovely family restaurant and hotel.We had a lovely meal and the people were great.They served us a brilliant breakfast of cold meats and cheese in addition to eggs and bacon.

Great menu. Asparagus was in season, so the menu had a lot of items with asparagus. Had the pork, great food. Portions were large, so would recommend sharing unless you are a big eater. Family run hotel and restaurant everyone was friendly and helpful. Closed on Wednesday for family time.

We went for dinner and were reasonable happy. Unfortunately our daughter was looking forward to a pizza but the pizzas didn't have tomato sauce on them, only crème fraîche which was not to her liking so she settled a sausage in bread which we hoped would do the trick. Sadly it was VERY spicy and the sauce on it was VERY spicy also. However my husband had a lovely burger and I had a very nice prawn salad. Every evening we were in Alpirsbach we went there for an ice-cream and drink after dinner which was perfect.

Auf unserer Fahrt nach Freudenstadt haben wir hier einen Zwischenstopp gemacht und zu Mittag gegessen. Viele Alternativen gab es nicht. Genau genommen keine als wir von der Autobahn von Rottweil kamen, die offen hatte. Das Restaurant ist einfach und ländlich eingerichtet. Um so überraschter waren wir wie sehr gut und ansprechend angerichtet das Essen war. Der Zwiebelrostbraten wie auch die Rinderroulade waren super. Sehr freundliche Bedienung!

Excellent continental breakfast while we stayed in the also excellent holiday appartments in this place. Full buffet breakfast for 6 Euros per person per day. Choice of cut strawberries, fruit salads, different cereals, breads, cheeses and wonderful Easter decorations. Good coffee and juices.There are great play areas for the children outside including a trampolin, table tennis, swings, slide and a lot more. There are also a lot of different animals including rabbits, horses, ponies, dogs, cats, cows and pigs. Access to all stables and animals is free.Usually a five star place would have to be serving hot food, too, but considered the low pricing structure, and all the top scoring areas below, I decided for top marks.

My husband and I were hiking on the trail between Lossburg and Alpirsbach. We saw a sign board on the hiking trail for this restaurant anddecided to try it. It was a good place to have a relaxing lunch. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Basic German menu -- my husband had wurst and I had schnitzel. Very reasonably priced (my schnitzel with french fries was just over 10 euros, and my husband's wurst with salat and potatoes was just under 9 euros). The server was friendly, although I don't believe she spoke English. You could also reach this by car on the B294 a little north of Alpirsbach, they do have parking space.

We made a short visit to Alpirsbach and luckily we found that place that offers very beautiful and delicious pastries.I can recommend their Black Forest cake, but I'm sure all others are very good as well.Service was a bit slow, but we were not in a hurry since it was raining outside and was much more fun to stay indoors...

We happened upon the place after wandering around for a while looking for somewhere suitable for a family with teenagers and a baby. We spotted the nice outdoor seating areas and it was clearly popular so after speaking to the friendly waitress with good English we decided to have a drink inside and wait for an outdoor table. We had schnitzel, macaroni cheese, stuffed pasta and pork medallions, all of which were well cooked, good portions and a fair price. We've had better mac & cheese in Germany and there was some confusion over which meals on the menu were available or not but overall I'd definitely recommend.

This small restaurant offers an amazing selection of steaks and burgers. They offer a wide choice of different cuts, from standard ones to prime quality. The steaks were prepared with a lot of care, grilled to perfection. I tried many steaks all over the world, and these ones were comparable to the ones I had in the best places in Argentina and Uruguay. To my opinion, this was probably the best steak I had in Europe, and surely the best steak in Germany. The customer care was excellent, presentation was good, and the wine selection was very good (eventhough the wine list was rather short). Additionally they erved (on the house) a delicious Thai soup and foccacia as starters, followed by a glass of sekt (also on the house). The only somewhat negative remark I have is that the restaurant could be better ventilated since there was a lot of smell coming from the kitchen (eventhough it was delicious, but I guess one does not want to have clothes smelling like food), but at the end, it is a steak house, so some smoky smell is OK, if you are not too sensitive to that.
