I discovered Il Cocco, located in the Hotel Krone in Gerlingen, when my group from an art course in the area went there for an evening meal. With excellent food; friendly, prompt, and accommodating service; and an attractive and comfortable ambience, Il Cocco makes for a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience! I liked the restaurant so much that I took my husband there for dinner when he picked me up from the class the next evening, and HE liked the restaurant so much that he wanted to go again when he picked me up from the class the next day. When I went the second time, the waitress remembered that I like a lot of ice with my Coke, and brought me a little bucket of ice before I even mentioned it. On the third visit, the chef prepared our meal before the kitchen had officially opened and came out to see us before dinner (probably to see what kind of people would come three nights in a row.) The cuisine covers a variety of standard and special Italian dishes, as well as traditional German selections, like Zwiebelrostbraten . . . and the prices are reasonable. Okay, maybe three nights in a row is a bit much, but we don't live close by and probably won't have a chance to go again for awhile. I would definitely recommend Il Cocco for a great dining experience! On Thursday nights, live music is presented - a keyboard player, who we were told is quite good.

Zucchini Spagetti with spicy tomato Sauce and Tofu BologneseThis was definitely the best tasting vegan food I've ever tried. Great balance of the spices and really nice creation. This restaurants rocks quite a few great creations like the Salad with Goats Cheese covered in crushed Almonds, some fresh Mint leaves and Raspberries with a Raspberry dressing. And try some of the home brewed beers - it's worth it!The only downside is that it can get quite load if it's busy. We come back anyway :-)

Had been here for a quick business lunch with my team. Located a stones throw from Holiday Inn, this hotel offers good Italian food. We had pizza and ravioli. The pizza was great and the ravioli was bland. The prices were moderate and they accept card payment for bills greater than 10 euros.

The Wichtel craft brewery started life in Ditzingen. In 1989, it first opened its doors here and quickly found a great number of loyal friends thanks to its self-brewed beers and the exclusive Wichtel cakes. Since the end of 2013, the Wichtel has been bac

While they didn't have English menus, we had a wonderful hostess who translated everything for us. She was delightful! The food arrived quickly and was very good. While I do prefer my pork schnitzel to be crispy, the pork was very tender and delicious. The portions were good too. It seemed to be very popular with the locals.

We had dinner here after checking in (quite late) to the Mercure on the corner; dinner is served until 10pm. The beers were cold, well priced & flowing! We didn't order an entree rather went straight to the main. I was impressed because after only asking the waiter for a table & talking amongst the two of us he bought an English menu & a German menu! It's that kind of nice touch that I appreciate, especially after a long drive!I had the special of the day - lamb rack with beans & bacon (very German & amazing!) & roasted potatoes, served with a green salad. The lamb didn't have a sauce but it was succulent & delicious, a little salt & pepper was all it needed. My other half had the steak with green peppercorn sauce & fries. The sauce was quite possibly the best steak sauce I have ever tried...punchy garlic, whole green peppercorns & creamy deliciousness. The service was quick & efficient. The whole meal was 45EUR & from memory that included the tip. The other meals that were coming out of the kitchen also looked pretty amazing. Mains are well priced, they seem to range from about 10EUR to about 22EUR. If you're staying close by drop in & give this restaurant a go.

This would have to be one of the best steakhouses that I have been too. I visited the museum back in 2015, but didnât get the pleasure of dining at this amazing restaurant. But coming back with my wife, I couldnât resist to treat her tonight to the restaurant and tomorrow, she is going to beside herself at the pleasure of visiting the Porsche Museum. Being a porsche fan, there was no way I was missing out this time around. But firstly, letâs not get ahead of ourselves and focus on the dinner tonight. We have hired a 2018 Panamera 4 E-Hybrid to get around, so why not start the night off parking in Porche Heaven (aka: the garage below the restaurant), only to drool over the multiple Porsches models all parked there. The staff are friendly, very attentive service and as soon as you sit, you are great with a trolley carting various champagnes and wines to start you off. The menu has something for everyone even if you are a vegetarian in one of the best steakhouses in Europe. Once we had ordered, the waiter delivered a nice surprise for us, a complimentary appetizer of Venison with an onion and apple chutney. For the entree, I went with the clear Tomato soup with Parmesan Ravioli, whilst my wife went with the more safer, Chicken Caesar salad. Being famous for their oversized USA beef steaks, we both had to have steak. When we were about to order the steaks, the waiter comes out with the selection of the various cuts of steak to explain to us each style etc. which makes it easier to choose when you can see what youâll be eating. I went with the 600gm Prime Rib whilst stacey was more delicate in having the 250gm Ladyâs cut Sirloin Strip. The sommelier recommended a cracker local Shiraz wine, which surprised me with the flavours and complimented my steak perfectly. We ordered too much food that we couldnât do dessert but that didnât stop them bring out complimentary mini tasting desserts of tarts, macaroons and cakes. Too sum up, Christophorus is hands down the best steakhouse in Stuttgart! The service is impeccable, the staff knowledgeable, and the food is flavorsome and amazing. Tomorrow we will visit the Museum.
