Went here for a meal for two. We sat outside. It's a bit rough and ready but ok. We had the antipasti - comprising the cheapest of prepackaged foods, it seemed - and a pizza. We were very disappointed by the quality of the food and the service was slow.

This seems to be a very popular cafe with locals, which is always a good sign. The service was friendly and efficient, and there is vast selection of cakes and ice-cream specialities to choose from, but please be warned that the helpings are enormous. If you are not ravenous, check what other people are eating to judge if you can eat a whole portion. before you order.

Our dinners on the Leimen town square were very good with excellent service with the staff being attentive and friendly. There were three of us and we each had a different entree. We would not hesitate to visit the Leimener Brauhous again and would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to eat and relax for the evening. May not be suitable for children unless your eating outside.

We spent two nights in this hotel and were very satisfied (it's a bit difficult to find, so check the hotel website for the correct satnav directions.) We were given a very friendly reception and our room was very modern, clean and comfortable. The hotel is so new that it's not really quite finished yet, so the outside terrace isn't completed and our bedroom was lacking a few small things (hooks on the back of the bathroom door, for instance, and women will probably wish for a few more shelves, but guess that will all come in time). Apart from that there was an agreeable atmosphere, a free bottle of mineral water to greet us and free wi-fi that worked perfectly. The hotel is very near a main road so if you like to sleep with an open window, a room at the back is recommended. Breakfast was good, and if it's sunny you can eat on the terrace overlooking the lake. For an evening meal we can also recommend the hotel restaurant.

Weinstube, eetcafe,
We arrived just after 1pm on a Sunday for a relaxed bite to eat with 4 children and 3 adults. The sun was shining so we sat outdoors. Service was friendly - the flammkuecken (think very thin pizza base smeared with fresh soft cheese and backed with bacon and onion) excellent and the alcohol free Weizenbeer just the thing for a long leisurely lunch.

Having lived up the road from this small-town restaurant for years, I can admit that dining at the Gallerie has become a weekly event. Almost never disappointing, this local German / Mediterranean hotspot offers reasonable service, great prices for the excellent quality, a friendly and youthful staff, and some of the best food in Heidelberg. Having been to many similar restaurants in the city, I am still amazed that I have yet to find a restaurant as relaxing and comfortable as the Gallerie, that pairs its welcoming atmosphere with its delicious meals. I recommend dining in the afternoon, with a glass of red wine and a salat Roma (Greek salad with an abundance of fruit, yogurt sauce, and turkey strips), which is my personal fav., and merely enjoying the experience with some friends and family. Hope the review helps, and you won't regret your visit!

The food here is excellent I've come three times on my trip and each meal was delicious! Absolutely delicious. The service is also excellent. Friendly and welcoming. You can watch planes land and take off st the airfield across the street. Often there are gliders and parachuters landing too. Highly recommended!

surprisingly was the ambient entering the restaurant. The partly African style gives a warm and welcome feeling. We ordered pizza and pasta, pasta without any cheese. The pasta came with cheese, the waitress was obviously not listening. Also the 1/8 glass of vine came as an 1/4...Overall, the food was ok, but not more than average.

This is clearly rather a pub than a restaurant, quite noisy, always crowded but a pleasant atmosphere. There are a lot of food options on the menu, and there is an extra menu with specials (Austrian fare right now). The food was mixed. The meat was very good, but the datils with bacon were below average, felt like convenience food (they emphasize they prapare the food themselves). Prices are rather high, but still normal considered the central location and the proximity to SAP. Service was very attentive, rather too much caring than too little. We felt we had to order so ething new before we were even finished.Nice place to have a chat with friends, would go again.
