Visited this lovely country pub early on Saturday evening. We were given a warm welcome by staff. We hadn't booked a table but as it was early we managed to get a table but probably best to book if your visiting at a weekend. We ordered fish and chips and battered haloumi. Both were beautifully cooked and presented. The menu has a good choice and looking and what other diners had ordered and enjoyed everyone seemed happy. Southwold beer was well kept and good. Our next visit we'll make sure to try a dessert. Do try to visit this lovely country pub you won't be disappointed.

We enjoyed the ambience of this relaxed restaurant across the road from the Swan hotel, where we were staying. Drinks in the garden were followed by a nicely cooked dinner chosen from a small menu, which included a fresh, tangy gazpacho and a delicious beef casserole. Very personal, friendly service and excellent value for money.

Visited once again last Saturday with my husband and father in law for lunch. We have been here many times over the years, and our last visit prior, was for my birthday lunch in December, a wonderful meal. The food was excellent as usual, the desserts were the best weâve ever eaten there. Hats off to the pastry chef. We know that the waiting staff have always been âin trainingâ - this was always the case. However, under the new ownership we think the waiting standard has fallen somewhat. For example, reaching right across the table to collect plates, collecting otherâs plates before everyone has finished. These are fairly basic rules, but we think they should be corrected. The French bread has always been delicious and fresh, this time we were offered either turmeric flavoured or plain hard small rolls, like bullets. I hope these will be replaced with better bread as the butter is scrumptious! I donât want to be too picky but always think feedback, either good or bad is useful. We still love the restaurant and have already booked to eat there again.

A proper English country pub serving a wide range of quality ales, lagers and other drinks. Homecooked pub food with an Austrian twist is available 6 days a week and Sunday Roasts are available every week.
2nd time at the Hare and wonât be the last. We all had something different. Seafood linguini was tasty and a reasonable portion. My friend cannot get past the haddock and chips. Veggie crumble had a good report. The whitebait starter was disappointing, more like sardines, to my mind, to big and a bit off putting, l did eat them as l love fish, but my friend did not which is always a shame when fish goes to waste. Not the whitebait we are used to eating. Very friendly place.Hi Evesy45,Thank you for your review, weâre glad you enjoyed most of your meal with us.We are proud to use Wyken Provisions as our sole fish supplier and our whitebait comes from them. It varies in size throughout the year and we have no control over that Iâm afraid.Thank you again,Will

In the heart of Dedham, The Sun Inn has been a watering hole for villagers and resting post for travellers for centuries. These days, itâs much the same. An ideal spot to revive yourself be it with a pint of craft beer, a meal using fine East Anglian prod
This is one of my favourite pub restaurants and has been for some time. I love the old building and chilled atmosphere, and the lounge with comfy chairs and settees is a favourite.I took a friend yesterday for an evening meal for his birthday. We both had starters. Mine was crispy eggs which was nice enough. His main was fish and mine sirloin steak. The steak was OK but not great and his was the same, but the veg were fresh and nicely cooked. The puddings were a bit limited too. Service as very good. Overall not too bad an experience but not remarkable

We have recently returned from an overnight stay at the Case Restaurant. It was a last minute booking based on other people's good reviews. We received a very warm welcome as we checked in to the ' Mulberry Room' the accommodation was compact, yet airy & comfortable with good storage space, everything that you might need, even a freshly delivered milk for coffee. The bath had a powerful shower overhead, nice toiletries, large towels, plentiful hot water. Our dinner was delicious, very fresh ingredients, each course prepared to order, cooked perfectly & beautifully presented. We chose the Ham hock terrine & Arancini to start, followed by grilled tuna with gnocchi & a sirloin steak. We both thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, but we're too full to be tempted by a third course. Our coffee was very good, made with a proper coffee machine, not these dreadful little pods that seem increasing popular these days. After a restful night's sleep, our breakfast was very tasty, the freshly squeezed orange juice was exceptionally good.We really enjoyed our short yet relaxing stay at the Case Restaurant with rooms, the owners are genuinely welcoming lovely people, who clearly know exactly how to run a restaurant that serves excellent food with comfortable accommodation & a good atmosphere.I would not hesitate to recommend the Case Restaurant with rooms, having found it, I hope that we will book another stay before too long. Our thanks to all concerned.
