If you decide to take a walk to this place you can break your legs walking down a very strange and dark road. Better take a taxi. The environment is dull and menacing, there's a bridge across the the small river (probably the Don tributary) leading to a wild forest. The beerhouse stands right there. But as you enter the fenced yard everything comes back to normal. A modern German-style restaurant with a minihotel, swimming-pool, and a river-side area. Mind the mosquitos in the latter. The beer is fine, there many different kinds. The rest of the cuisine average. Staff is modest, do not expect fluent English from them. Can reccommended if reached by taxi.

The restaurant stands sort of aside from the busy center, still it's a 10-min walk from Amaks hotel. The atmosphere is friendly and it makes you feel like visiting the place again. There's no loud music as in most Russian restaurants. Special compliments to the chef for excellent cuisine where you can find a lot of local Russian and Cossack dishes. Staff is friendly even their modest English does not spoil the impression. Definitely worth visiting.

I've been there with come colleagues, about 25 pp. The place is nice, service a bit slow and price about 20 € each for dinner. The pasta with pesto was fine, the pizza didn't taste really Italian.

Happened to have lunch here with my business partner. The service was quick and professional. We ordered typical Russian cuisine and enjoyed our meal fully. Another advamtage is a good location in the town centre close to the local museum of history.

The cafe is nice and cosy. Located across the road from the only decent working hotel in town. Good for families with children. The interior is attractive and the atmosphere relaxing. The only con is low level of service and poor or no English at all from the staff.

The restaurant has its name after the local sight, the mound of a fort Azov. It featured several separate halls with very different ambience and interior. The one was very nice in a style of a fort 17 century, while another one which was supposed to repeat the interior of a typical Russian nobility, was really awful ! Nevertheless, the cuisine was very good, and the prices were surprisingly moderate. Particularly, I recommend any dish from local fresh clear water fish.

Located in the middle of the Petrovsky Boulevard tenderly called Broadway by the locals this place is worth visiting to take a relaxing break, be it day or night. Put into a multistoreyed building it was designed to get some Italian touch. No matter that the touch went by, the place is cosy with an acceptable level of hospitality. Some waitresses speak English a little.
