âMetropol 145â is located on a small street that leads to the seaside boulevard, which is rich in the history of Baku, and has survived to this day with little or almost no change. The location amazes with a variety of historical sights and modern buildin
Followed Tripadvisor's recommendation. Had Azerbaijani soup, lamb chops, and pot of green tea. The soup made an impression, and the location and venue is nice. Service good, but not the price of the tea: 15 manat. My bad - should've checked the price before ordering, but still left a bitter taste.Dear RonnyD261,Thank you very much for spending your time for this review. We are really sorry for not fulfilling your expectations, because we are working hard to provide every guest with an outstanding experience with us. But we are also really happy that the venue and the dishes made a good impression. Would be very happy to see you back again.Best Regards, 145group Customer-care Team

National cuisine in the heart of Old City.
We visited Baku for 5 days , tried all diff restaurants per recommendations and my conclusion that Gaynana is the best food and the best value - hands down. It was so good that we visited there 2 times - the only place we went twice in Baku. I liked meat koutabs, my wife - green koutabs, dovga and piti were awesome. Same wine in âSumakhâ restaurant was 40 manats when in Gaynana it was 28 manats. Freshly made bread is not he only reason to go there - it is food, ambience. Waiters speak min 3 languages: Russian, English, Azeri- so no problem at all to communicate. Location in old town - Ichari Sheher - obviously a plus. Highly recommended

More than 23 years this mark exists in public catering of Azerbaijan. This mark enhanced the image of the most popular restaurant in the city. Actually we do not tell just about the restaurant but about the whole stile of food culture. Today ANADOLU chain
The worst experience in Baku.It was my wife's birthday so I wanted to eat nice lunch. Atmosphere is fine, service is great. But the food is really terrible. We orders spicky kebab or something like this (which was bones with fat for 4.9 AZN), There was no meat at all. Second dish was lamb kebab which was few small piece of lamb (10.5 AZN). Not really good, one of the worst lamb I have ever eaten. Our waiter noticed that we were unsatisfied. She gave us tea and pieces of baklava extra. it was very nice of her and service is really great there. But we came there for birthday lunch not for tea and we unfortunately went hungry. It was huge disappointment. I expected much more. I don't know if the cook had bad day or we shouldn't take lamb. Food was terrible, I add one "star" for service which was really great. However I can not recommend this restaurant.Dear JarekUr,Thank you for being a guest of Anadolu Restaurant and taking time to share your feedback.I regret to hear about your unpleasant experiences during your visit .I'm really sorry to not fulfilled your expectations, I can assure you that we are working hard to provide every guest with an outstanding experience with us. I came here for dinner and the next day for breakfast. The menu has many different options for reasonable prices. Ramil, the server, was so helpful and kind even though I don't speak a word of Azeri. I recommend going here over the overpriced restaurants within the Old City walls.

"Dolmа" restaurant specializes in European and Azerbaijani cuisines. Located near Fountain Square, against the museum of azerbaijani literature. This is family restaurant with several guest rooms and creative interior, that has an atmosphere of old Baku .I
We have visited this restaurant on the 15th October on recommendation from our local guide on where to try the famous Shakh Plov. And we have not been disappointed. Shakh Plov was very-very tasty and the presentation beautiful. The starters were also very nice and I loved pomegranate wine! The restaurant is conveniently centrally located, although could be a challenge to climb the steps when getting out for people with walking difficulties as it is in the basement. The service was attentive. I cannot fault it. Also the bill was very reasonable. Thank you!
