Built just to the east of the spectacular ruins of the capital of the Ayutthaya kingdom, a Siamese power destroyed by Burmese invasion in the 18th century, Ayutthaya is a modern Thai city studded with archeological wonders. Headless Buddhas and crumbling but still-beautiful reliquary towers and wats give evidence of the majesty of the civilization that was once centered here.

Our resort has been designed and created for those who are looking for peace and tranquility. You can tour the UNESCO World Heritage site which is located just 15 minutes away by bicycles. We have 12 individual villa/bungalows surrounded by beautiful tropical garden and small pond.
Visiting Thailand many time this hotel lands without hesitation in the top five of best accommodation. Price/ Quality in the top three. We had a very nice individual cottage, clean and well equipped. The cottages are spread over a green garden , lost of water and very quit. To top it off an excellent pool, pool area. All very stylish. The staff in courteous, helpful and friendly. Beyond the shadow of a doubt the best option in Ayutthaya who seek friendly staff scenery, peacefulness and ambiance over extravagance and luxury.

Bann Tye Wang is aiming to create a culturally refined and meaningful ambiance by letting the guests experience traditional Thai culture, way of living through excellence hospitality.
Our family did not book the hotel beforehand, we checked the review and booked the hotel upon arrival as we wanted to check the quality of the hotel first. No surprise why the hotel gets the top ranking on many online websites. Once we arrived, the senior lady who owns the hotel gently welcomed us with the bael fruit welcome-drink and showed us the room. We selected the room downstair as we wanted to have an area for the night chitchat. The hotel looked exactly the same as the pictures shown on many websites. The building was mixed with cement and wood. The room was super clean and there was an upper room located at the front of the hotel which filled with many collected ancient decorations. In the early morning, the lotus pond was filled with light fog - best oxygen spot in Ayutthaya. The breakfast was sufficient and the drink & bread station was lovely arranged. The hotel was peaceful. I really recommend this place for anyone who looks for tranquility.

Experience the tranquility of old Siam - join us at iuDia on the River, a small 13-room boutique inn next to the historical park. iuDia is a tasteful, comfortable and well equipped residence with a swimming pool and a small coffee shop.
Difficult to put to words just how good this place is if you book a room or suite with the view of the iconic white temple because it is extraordinary and the place is impossible to replicate. You get the feeling of tranquility as well as being impressed by antiques and artwork around you that are usually placed in a museum or art gallery.

This place was probably all right if you are used to back packing but it fell far short of our expectations. Security was non existent as the windows would not lock; there was no hot water for a shave in the wash basin; there was no hair drier; the shower had a complicated set up and our daughters' room was even worse as dust flew everywhere when they turned on the fan.

Doing these ratings is difficult because there's always the issue of whether we are comparing with other accommodations at the same price point or are we rating on some absolute scale. Given it's only 1000 B (or about $33) per night, perhaps I should rate it higher. A perfectly fine room: comfortable bed, working a.c. Bathroom works, but limited shelf/counter space, and also the water pressure in the shower was pretty low but still did the job. Owner very nice and helped me book a late afternoon boat ride, which was good. Also, gave me a nice, light breakfast. The biggest negative to me, which the owner can't do anything about, was that because of outside noise, I didn't sleep that well. On night one, there was some sort of band playing at the nearby market and every note on the bass had the bed vibrating -- this did end by midnight (or maybe earlier) and I actually fell asleep before that. On night two, no band, but at 5:45am a neighbor started hammering something. Also, it might be nice if they kept a couple of bikes around for guests to use although a bike rental is about 3 blocks away. All in all, if looking for an inexpensive stay, it is quite fine.
