I came here the Thursday before Christmas with some girlfriends and we had a fantastic meal. More than generous portions and really lovely fresh food. I chose to the calamari and prawns and Iâm so glad I did, it was utterly delicious but no lemon or sauce. I was so busy chatting I forgot to ask for either. My friends stuck with pasta equally as good. This family run Italian business is always a delight to visit and you are always guaranteed a great meal and evening.Itâs quite typically Italian and the owners are always front of house. You can also come in get takeaway pizzas which are lovely.

We came across the Cock & Rabbit whilst in the area on a recent Sunday afternoon being aware that The Lee regularly features in Midsomer Murders. We parked in the car park and then walked through the restaurant area to a bar. The lady behind the bar recommended the Night Owl Dark Beer from Somerset which I tried and it was good. Mrs FB2000 had a glass of white wine, and the round was significantly cheaper that what I am used to.We then walked round to the other small bar where a few friendly locals were having some Sunday afternoon drinks and welcomed us in the banter and story-swopping. There were also a couple of very friendly dogs in the bar. We had a very enjoyable hour or so in the bar !The menu looks very inviting but we did not eat here. We would happily return here if we are in the area again.

What a great little place with fantastic friendly service and lovely food. I had a caprice salad to start followed by a tasty seafood pasta that had plenty of seafood in it and then my favourite the tiramisu all the portions were just right we will be returning again

Although we had booked a table, made to wait for our table, with 3 staff saying they would be with us shortly. We eventually got seated but in the worst table in the restaurant right in the way of the bar staff going in and out of the bar. When we asked the manager if we could move he abruptly said they were full and every other thanked was booked. He gestured in the direction of a table of 8 children and said theyâll be going in a minute, it they were only just ordering dessert. There were plenty of empty tables we could have been swapped for. This experience was disappointing as it was for 2 special birthdays and his rudeness could have spoilt the evening. The whole place was chaos and looked like they were very understaffed. We voted with our feet and left and went to a better restaurant in Tring. So if you want to wait for a table, be ignored, get a terrible table and get a chap be rude to you when you politely ask if you can move, then this is your place. No idea what the food or drinks like as Iâd probably still be waiting.

A great evening at Francesco's - again. Cotoletta a la Milanese and Tiramisu - absolutely to die for..... at a cost for two less than the deposit required by another (new)Tring restaurant...!Francesco and Amorosa put on a great experience - Italian trattoria-style home-made food and ambience - no point in travelling to Italy...!

We popped in for a drink as wanted to try the cocktails. It has a nice atmosphere and there is a nice bar area. The cocktails were a bit underwhelming, and all a little bit too sweet. We ordered a second cocktail and were waiting for over 10 minutes so went to the bar, and the waiter apologized as he had forgotten. Not sure I would visit again for a drink, but might do for food, as there were a lot of people eating and the food did look quite nice.
