We enjoyed our dinner following a recommendation from our lodge hostVery friendly and attentive staffBeers and wines were great.Started of tempura chicken was different and very tastyMains of fish pie and lamb were both very good. Having read the reviews my wife and I and two friends were apprehensive about a visit, but were presently suprised to find a warm welcome and tasty food albeit with a tint table more suited to 2 than 4, however the food was delicious haggis pakora hit the spot and the salmon fillet was superb. Highly recommended!

This is a fairly traditional restaurant - nothing fancy, but certainly clean and with attentive and pleasant staff.The menu has a good choice and the portion size was generous. The food was tasty and we both enjoyed every bight. The only thing I could find issue with was that the chips could have done with a little longer in the fryer!We enjoyed our meal and felt it was maybe just a little over-priced for what it is, although not excessively so.I'd definitely recommend and would return.

Great atmosphere from a packed pub Live music had a heavy metal rock band who were loud but entertaining. Bar staff served well considering it was three deep at the bar not much eye candy for the boys as it was 90% blokes. Highlight for me was the guitarist and vocalist playing happy birthday to you for my mate in the heaviest base possible worth a visit been before and will most likely return.

Popped in for a few drinks on the way back to our hotel. In the main, the staff were pleasant although one chap was a little abrupt whereas the others all seemed to be enjoying their jobs.I'm not sure I would want to eat here though as I witnessed a few of the team petting dogs and handling a water bowl for dogs and they didn't appear to wash their hands before handling food and drinks.
