Snug retreat with superb food
Reviewed By frigateWe stayed for three nights in late May while birdwatahing in some very cold, inclement weather,and the Cairn was just what you wanted to return to every afternoon. Although the room was a little dated it was a good size, extremely clean, and very comfortable. Unusually for me, I slept well. There was plenty of storage and a comfy sofa, not to mention some high quality biscuits to go with the tea and coffee. The staff were lovely. It may be my imagination, but the staff we met here and, indeed, in other hotels/B&Bs have been a huge asset to the establishments. Those at the Cairn were exceptional. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. I'm going to review the food separately. It was excellent.

Great stay Fantastic Breakfast
Reviewed By wrensnestredMy wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in May, all of the staff we met were fantastic, the room was very clean, as was the bathroom, comfortable bed, and great breakfast, what more could you ask for? There is plenty of free parking, and it is just a short walk into the town centre, and although close to the main road we did not hear any traffic noise. We would highly recommend this small hotel/B&B.

Reviewed By Anders386Nice place and Kay is great and really friendly host. Near to hiking/walking/cycling in the mountains and only a few minutes from Tomatin Distillery (there you have visitir centre/tours). Nice breakfast and I also had dinner mo-th which was really great.

Dunroamin is a 4 star family run quality Bed and Breakfast. Centrally situated, off the main street, in a quiet residential area, it is only five minutes walk to the shops, restaurants and bars. An ideal base for your holiday or business needs, it provides privacy with all the comforts of your own home. Breakfast options are vast and freshly cooked to order and also offering a help yourself buffet of cereals, yoghurts, pastries, fruits, cheeses and juices. Not to be missed.

Reviewed By Paradise40842674711What a gem of a B&B I can highly recommend. Firstly Jim and Lorraine are exceptional hosts they can’t do enough for you. Very friendly, lots of local information on where’s good to go and where to eat. They take time to get to know you and chat. We stayed in the triple room it was spacious very comfy bed, clean and well presented and lots of little extras like biscuits, and shower gel. The breakfasts are delicious with daily specials as well as the usual choices. All covid measures are followed. I would definitely go back again it is in my opinion the best! Thank you so much for everything Jim & Lorraine

A friendly family run guest house located within the Cairngorm national park near to ski,golf, fishing,wildlife, rspb ospreys,steam railway, climbing, and everything Aviemore and the Cairngorms has to offer etc the list goes on pet and child friendly etc. 1/2 hour from Inverness airport with good bus and rail links too.
Clean and comfortable with good breakfast
Reviewed By I2382UFlizaStayed here for the night after playing golf in Boat of Garten. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Good shower with toiletries provided and a hairdryer in the room. Breakfast was really good and we were made very welcome. Would suggest the garden outside at the front needs tidying up as it makes the place look uncared for. A slight smell of a fryer in the downstairs perhaps? The wee shared lounge could maybe do with an upgrade.

Reviewed By 244highlanderA traditional cosy cottage atmosphere is found in this highland b&b. The cottage is spotless and all home comforts are catered for. The owners are friendly and helpful and make the most amazing breakfast. A great setting and ideal location for all the area has to offer.
