A very nice restaurant to eat. The staff were well presented and friendly. The food was good and drinks reasonably priced. We both had a lovely meal and would go back to the place if and when we revisited Alpe d'Heuz. There is a bar facility to just have drinks in and music.

This is a takeaway pizza place next to the Irish bar O'sharkys. You can go and order in there and they will bring it into the Irish bar for you. The pizza itself is rubbish. Those cheap frozen type supermarket pizzas where the topping slides off the base and burns your lip..... that's what you get. You can get a far far nicer pizza in pinnochio's or la roy ladre ect but i get that this is a takeout pizza place next to an Irish bar, so it is what it is. If you're hammered and need a bite then go for it, otherwise i wouldn't bother.HI my friend I'm sorry for your bad experience with my pizza shop. But you have to know when you take a pizza to take away ,you close it in a box and it s not so good as a restaurant when you have it immediately from the oven to your plate.in delivery you close the pizza in the box and wait the deliveryman sometimes, one minutes sometimes little more.this night it was snowing ,so it was a hard night to respect delays for us.next time I invite you to eat one in my place and after you can compare and you ll see it s not the same your commentary is bad, for exemple it s like you compare a cheeseburger chips in a plate in a restaurant and a cheeseburger chips to take away, when you eat 5 or 10 minutes after it is closed in a box next time you have to know exactly what you 're talking about my friend when you post something very wrong to someone.

Quite simple. fantastic pizza ready in 10 minutes and you can eat in perched on one of four tables with high stools or takeaway ( we had late night takeaway pizza from there twice when we just fancied something simple after gorging ourselves on rich heavy savoyyard lunches in mountain restaurants!!) If you like spicy then go for the Lolo and ask for extra chilli. Don't expect chips or anything else - it just does pizza......really well and at 8 euros for a small one you can't go wrong.

We love the pizzas and roti chicken from here. Great for those self catering. The restaurant is cafe style and basic, but busy with locals and seasonaires which is a good sign!

I work for a holiday company here in Alpe d'Huez, and this week, I had several couples looking to eat at L'Authentique. I called up at the start of the week to book a table for one couple, however, when I tried to call up later, they were unavailable. I then saw on both trip advisor and on google that you could do an online booking, so I went ahead and booked a table for 2 people at 7 o'clock on Wednesday Evening. I got a confirmation email that night to confirm the booking, then on the Wednesday morning I got another email reminding me of the booking for that night, so I was delighted, and my guests were really looking forward to it. On the Wednesday night, around 7:10pm, I received a call from my guests who had turned up at the restaurant to be told there was no booking for them. I was really confused at this point, as I was sitting looking at the confirmation email on my phone. I forwarded it to them, and they went back in to the restaurant and showed them the email to then be told that the restaurant no longers accepts online bookings. My guests were then turned away as they had no available tables at the restaurant, and then had to struggle to get another table in town on the busiest night of the week. This situation is totally unforgiveable. Not only did my guests, who were looking forward to their meal, have to spend a further half hour walking in and out of restaurants trying to find one with a table for them, but also, I was left looking completely unprofessional, and left with highly disappointed guests. I appreciate that they may not do online bookings anymore, however, they cannot advertise this online, send confirmation AND reminder emails, then refuse these clients at the door.I am severely disappointed with the restaurant, and can say for certain that I will no longer be recommending it my guests.

Pizza was very good. Highly recommend the salmon pizza. I tried a few as I am a human bin. I also ate the crusts from the neighbouring table once they had left (it was a family of 4). Waste not want not.The restaurant is small and cozy but there's an upstairs area which must be pretty spacious because I counted at least 142 people come in as we ate. This place is severely let down by the staff - particularly a manager? Due to the 142 people upstairs, folk were being turned away at the door. It happens of course. However, I watched a young timid couple slowly open the door, and before they had even stepped inside, nevermind open their mouths to enquire into the availability of a table, this 'manager' stormed up and simply said 'no' and walked off. Mental.Get takeaway.

We understand from the host that her and her partner only recently took over the restaurant in the last few months after working in the resort over the last year. Her partner is Italian and the chef and hence the French /Italian style of food.Menu and wine list limited at the moment and nearly put us off from coming in. However we were glad we went in as each dish was well prepared and a little different from other options in the resort. We both thought the quality and taste was better than one of the more established restaurants we had eaten at the night before and no more expensive I had a starter that included thinly sliced tomatoes of three colours and an Italian cheese. My wife had the salmon trout and loved it. I had the guinea fowl on a bed of sliced courgettes which was also good. All freshly prepared. Homemade sweets also good.We wish this new restaurant and young couple every success in this new venture. Well worth a visit. A limited menu but good food prepared well. Keep up the good work!

Chanced upon this little gem of a place last night and we couldnât have been happier. Great atmosphere and welcome by the staff. Excellent pizza and lasagne which you can see being prepared. Would definitely return and recommend. Welcomes both coupes and families. Also has takeaway service.
