Our family have been here on three separate occasions and enjoyed every meal immensely. Particularly favorite mains include the cote de beouf and the tartiflette. The salads are nice complements, and the tarte tatin, the tiramisu, the chocolate cake and the rib au lait are all great desserts. The house white and red wines are fine for my taste and great value. Best of all is the atmosphere which is truly buzzing on a Friday evening when the place is full. Dogs are welcome too.

Best burgers by far, great choice, all cooked to perfection, a great addition to the scene from the same team that owns La Praz. Keep it up boys excellent fun with serious cocktails.

A great location at the bottom of the slopes, nice food and drinks and a lovely service, what more can you ask for? All the staff we encountered on our visits during the week were very friendly. We would certainly recommend this place.

We have been going to this restaurant for over 15 years, this visit was a party of 10 people who were squeezed into a small room along with another party of five. We ordered their three specialty dishes, brasarede, racellete and fondue all needing equipment and extra space on the table. We ended up being totally squashed with no room to eat properly. On leaving and paying the bill we included an amount of small change which the manager refused to count and threatened to call the police as he accused us of trying to leave without paying the full amount. He was extremely rude to one member of our party who speaks French fluently. We will never use this restaurant again.A NIGHTMARE The truth is that to start with you were extremely noisy on purpose to make other people next to you leave the tables which happened twice . Two different tables asked us to change and moved to an other room as you were extremely noisy When you had to pay the bill, all the other 8 people at your table paid their share without any problem .When it was your turn to pay your share, you gave us an incredible amount of cents thinking that we would not count them and we counted them to find out that instead of 32 euros there was only 10 euros .You tried to cheat on us which is not fair .we have a lot of English clients who we appreciate and have never had any problems with them and it 's the first time that we have a person like you , noisy badly educated and trying not to pay the bill . Please never come to our place again it will be a real relief for us Supprimer la réponse

This is by far the best restaurant in the Thones valley. It is absolutely deserving of its first Michelin star. The food is entirely organic made with fresh local produce. The atmosphere is very peaceful achieving a great mix of tradition and modern decor. While in the region, an absolute must go.

We offer you a refined hospitality, quality dishes and an intimate setting, while remaining in the center of the village! The Pooh serves couples, families, workers and friends, but also knows how to handle bigger demands by preparing your personalized ba
On a recent skiing holiday, for a special occasion and to make a change from traditional Savoyard or Italian food, we treated ourselves to the Haut Cuisine at Lâourson. The food was fabulous and the set menus surprisingly good value for the quality. The amuses-bouches were lovely too as was the quality, complimentary Genepi. The service was attentive with English speaking staff for those who struggle with French. However, there was a loss of translation! When ordering a bottle of champagne, we were brought champagne by the glass which ended up adding rather a lot to the bill so do watch out for this!

This restaurant & bar was located in our hotel and we didnât really have any intention of spending much time there given all the restaurants we liked to look of in town BUT we loved the bar and the staff so we can back every afternoon/evening for apres-ski drinks, coffee on the (sun trap) terrace (with brilliants views of the slops) or for pre-dinner drinks. Great cocktails, wine list, local beers and nibbles! Then thereâs the restaurant, beautifully decorated and a great place for dinner with friends. The food was beautifully presented and tasted fantastic. We loved it so much we booked to go back two nights later and we were not disappointed. The staff were all so friendly and great fun!We will be back!

Impressive building and location .Pleasant dinning room but unfortunately, lacks ventilation. Our clothes were smelling odors from the kitchen for some days. Menu card was original with hidden surprises concerning ingredients, not very successful all of them .Service was very slow.Dishes, some of them interesting and tasty ,some others indifferent....Check: 5 pax - 220 ⬠with a bottle of wine and no desserts.

This place is just fantastic! The owners are very friendly and the service is good. The food is just amazing! The best fine dining place in Grand Bornand! We had the cuisses de grenouilles and despite my fears of trying this dish, it was delicious. The moelleux au chocolat (they have a different name on the menu) was divine! I also loved their selection of tea. It's a very creative display of tea choices. Highly recommend this place if you are in the Grand Bornand. Heck, we drove one hour to eat here and it was well worth the drive!

This lovely stop boasts great local beer and a light lunch made of various cheeses and hams. The couple that run the place are extremely welcome and friendly but the friendliest member of the staff is their dog Gaia who greets you at the door and encourages you to come inside. We plan to visit again when we repeat the walk. Thanks for your comment! It will be a pleasure to see you again.
