Nice restaurant in the middle of nowhere, near Geneva. This place is mostly know by locals in France, Gaillard area across the border from Geneva. Speciality is mostly cheese from the region and the Cheese Fondue and raclette are excellent and much better than in Geneva. Get the Cepe Fondue with typical mushroom and nice local White wine. Save some room for deserts as they are to die for. Staff are very attentive and helpful. Price is very reasonable compared to Geneva. This place is apparently always full on weekends but we went there on a week day so the staff had much more time for us and although we were the last customers, they didn't pressure us to leave. One thing though to be aware of is that like all fondue places, your clothes might stink.

unique menu Salade with homemade vinaigrette Different seize of steak ( faux filets) homemade french fries famous mademoiselle sauce Homemade desert
If you like beef, that's the place to eat! Simple concept, only one meal: a salad as a starter, a beef entrecote with french fries for the main, and a small selection of desserts. The meat is really good, served with a home-made sauce "Mademoiselle". Trendy decoration and nice service. No surprises. I'll be back!

Let's be clear: the most important, the cuisine is excellent. We got craftefully designed, rather sophisticated and very tasty dishes. Starters and fish were particularly good. The chef is definitely gifted and put of lot of efforts in balance, details and presentation. So far, so good. Problems unfortunately are in everything else: First the menu is ultra short. Two starters, two mains fish, two mains meat, 2 desserts. Nothing against a reduced offer which is a guarantee of freshness (as reminded by the waiter) but this is a bit extreme. Second, the room is (much) too small for such restaurant, in consequence tables are microscopic and trapped against each other. Not comfortable at all. Third the waiter is nice but had an unpleasant way of trying to convince you to drink what he wanted you to drink rather than what we choose on the wine list. Quite surprising and almost pushy. Fourth, service was too slow, although this could possibly be partially excused by the full house that evening. All these negative points justify the quite stern appreciation, despite the good meal. We have to remember that this place sells itself as a gastronomic place, and doesn't hesitate to bill in consequence, so we can expect that the whole experience is up to that standard. Unfortunately it wasn't.

We stayed in Annemasse for a few days and from other reviews sought out this restaurant in which to have our evening meals. We were offered a very friendly and warm welcome. The waiter was most knowledgeable about the meals and wines - giving us suggestions. Behind the scenes the chef produced plentiful courses very quickly which were extremely tasty. The evenings were not rushed: there was no desire from our side, or the restaurantâs, to get out of the door; in fact we could probably have lingered far longer!I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

This is easily one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. It doesn't have a Michelin star but it appears in the Michelin restaurants guide and is what I like to call a 0 Michelin star restaurant (and all of these I've been to have been excellent). It is located just over the border from Geneva, in a non-descript mostly residential and quiet street. The service is top notch, like that you'd find in a 5 star hotel and all the staff were very attentive. The restaurant is decorated all in shades of brown, in a sort of homely country style but also very modern. It (including the bathroom) was spotlessly clean. The food was absolutely amazing. You have a choice between 4, 5 or 7 courses for the degustation taster meal. We had 5 courses (which was more like a total of 8: amuse bouche/appetizer, 3 entrées, main, granita and 2 desserts). The foie gras entrée with pear sauce was outstanding. The presentation was stunning (see photos). The seafood dish (mostly smoked salmon) and the guinea fowl/beetroot dishes were all out of this world. The dessert with crunchy chocolate cookie and creamy mousse was a delight in the mouth. The combination of crunchy and creamy, sweet and sour (passionfruit and yuzu lemon coulis) was amazing.I enjoyed all the dishes except the frogs' legs which were a bit too salty for my liking, and thus disappointing. I also did not like eating it out of a bone sitting on a pile of dried grass. It was a shame about that, otherwise everything else was 10/10 for me.Although the waiters explain the dishes, I would have personally preferred to see the names written down somewhere. The actual dishes and ingredients are not listed on their menu.It is a bit on the pricey side but great for special occasions and worth every penny!

We enjoyed our meal on a Saturday evening in May. The beef tartare well seasoned and very tasty, the vol au vent idem and the 350 gram (must be 12 ounce) entrecôte first rate, though not actually cooked rare (saignant) as I ordered. Thus if you really want it rare, insist. The accompanying fries really good. Portions are big.The wines by the glass are mostly local and very fairly priced. Enjoyed the Mondeuse red wine. The dessert we chose was a citron givré and was delightfully tart. The service was friendly enough but could perhaps improve with a bit more professionalisme. The decor is rustic and pleasing.

Small little restaurant, pleasant decor and exceptional cuisine. The owner and chef came out a couple of times and made sure everything was satisfactory. The waitress was also very pleasant and helpful including the wines. The tuna was perfect and the entrecot steak was very good, crem brule was a 10. Before leaving the owner brought over a bottle of Genepi which he shared with us. Wonderful experience. They are located inside a non attractive sort of mall, which I almost turned around and left, but fortunately we stayed.

We'd been here once a while ago in the summer, we sat in their terrace and lunch went great. This time we got to sit inside, and it's a very cozy environment, almost like being at someone's home. Staff is extremely polite and charming, which considering where we are geographically located is already a big plus. We ordered a 'plat du jour' and got more than we bargained for. Food was exquisite, even for a very simple daily special. So, if we get all this on a rainy Tuesday, I can only imagine that when its a special occasion we can get wonders! Congrats to chef and staff and thank you for a wonderful lunch experience, we will certainly be back.

The best of the sea in Geneva for 24 years 1 Michelin star and 17/20 Gault&Millau Arrival of fish and shellfish every day Cozy restaurant, Private table in the kitchen (5pax maximum) only on reservation Private parking (15 spaces) and terrace in summer Th
Lovely restaurant but quite far outside the Geneva city centre, you will need 20 minutes to reach it by car. It is literally adjacent to a former French border control point. We took the tapas tasting surprise menu. In general we enjoyed it even though some dishes were hit and miss. Some for example were quite spicy some other felt rather bland from a spices point-of-view.Wine menu is short, but we managed to try several ones and price/quality ratio was excellent. The only comment I would make is champagne by the glass, a small producer rosé (excellent btw no issue here) is charged 25 CHF which is very high even by Geneva standards.Next time we will try the regular menus.Very friendly service by the owners. Husband cooking and wife managing the restaurant. Corinne Bessire
