Stopped here for lunch as was near our hotel and we wanted something different to the traditional austrian food. Loved the food, the venue, the atmosphere and the prices. Had the vegetarian peanut stew and the Thai curry and boy here really tasty. Liked being able to build your meal picking the different components. Would definitely go again

The restaurant is just a 5-minute walk from our hotel near central train station. We were pleasantly surprised by the choices and taste of the dishes (chicken, pork, beef, prawns, fish, vegetables, sushi, miso soup, hot and sour soup, ice cream etc.). The charge for all-you-can-eat buffet is 14.90 euros per person, very reasonable. No wonder we went back for another round of buffet two days later.

1st time we travel to Salzburg and we found this small restaurant by chance. We really love this restaurant and the food here. It’s cosy decoration, tasty food and very helpful staffs. My children are very excited because the could choose the ingredients by their own. They left nothing after meals. Highly recommend and surely come back here if we travel to Salzburg again.

Had we not been with friends from Salzburg who were taking us to a specific store in the Europark Salzburg mall and knew of this restaurant, we would never have eaten there. At 2:30pm on a beautiful Friday afternoon, Yaoyao was obviously known to the locals and apparently quite popular as it was packed. From start to finish, the service was friendly, prompt and efficient. It was entertaining to watch the staff scurrying about. It appeared that any server could access our orders on their electronic pads to add/delete/change, so anyone was able to help us at any time. The variety of asian food offerings which included Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese was impressive. There was something asian for most every palate. I had a Chinese noodle dish but our group of five also tried Thai and Japanese. It was all delicious. The only downside was that their meal portions were not overly generous, and most of us could have eaten a bit more.Dear guest! Thanks a lot for you Feedback about our dishes and service! The Bangkok Restaurant is fusions Asian restaurant located in the middle town Salzburg cuty, of course different Thai food, Japanese food and Chinese food, we stay at the Hotel Mercure City Salzburg and rainy, go there by foot because it is very close, then select Thai food, it is not original but badFood was good, the staf are nice, helpful, friendly

We discovered Taj Mahal in Salzburg, Austria a few hours after arriving in town. Couldn't get into the restaurant on our first night in town, but made a reservation for the following night. Had the best Lentil Soup (Dal) we've ever encountered. This was folowed by excellent lamb and chicken dishes and wrapped up with an excellent rice pudding for dessert. Restaurant is largely family run - father, son and daughter. Very knowledgeable, friendly and competent staff. We were so impressed we booked another dinner for our last night in Salzburg - it was a repeat of competence on all levels.

Wenn Sie kein zu Tode gewärmtes Essen vom Buffet mögen, sind sie hier falsch.Wollte nicht mehr wo anders hin gehen und gibt es ja auch eine Bedienung und Karte.Es dauerte ewig bis ein MÜDER grüner Salat kam mit 4 Gurkenscheibchen und zwei Tomatenstücken. Darüber eine Art Cocktailsauce. Beim Chinesen erwarte ich mir Sojasproßen und pikanten Krautsalat etc. , denn das macht ja den Uneterschied zum normalen Wirtshaus. Für mich nicht akzeptabel. Während ich wieder so ca. 15 Minuten auf die Suppe wartete und einer Kellnerin zusah wie Sie mit der Fliegenklatsche an der Theke "jagte", hatte ich das Gefühl, daß man auf Gäste die "a la carte" essen , keinen Wert legt. Die Suppe wurde dann VOM BUFFET geholt und war mit wenig Inhalt und "fade-nicht pikante" im Geschmack.Es dauerte dann wiederum eher 20 Minuten und ich hatte gar keinen Hunger mehr bis die Hauptspeise serviert wurde. Garnelen mit knuspriger Entenbrust waren OK aber es reißt einem nicht vom Hocker.Insgesamt dauerte es 1Stunde und 35 Minuten bis ich bezahlen konnte.Da ja alles auf Selbsbedienung ausgerichtet ist, gab's auch keinen Pflaumenwein.Bei der Rechnung wurde der G'spritzte vergeßen, was ZUFÄLLIG die Kellnerin gleich bemerkte und IM KOPF dazurechnete, es aber KEINEN BELEG dazu gab. EIN SCHELM wär sich da als EINHEIMISCHER etwas denkt dabei.
