It's getting hard to find normal traditional food. Most of the places offer fancy sounding dishes with even more fancy ingredients. In the end you get stuff on your plate that doesn't really work taste-wise. Portions not to generous, prices mid to high range for what you get. Wouldn't come a second time.

Me and my family booked a table to celebrate our last evening in Kaprun, and because we wanted to make this a good experience we looked for something special - since 24 serves Wagyu beef we decided to try the place. My wife and two daughters had the Ladies beef, which was excellent, where I started by ordering the Rib Eye - which I was told only was served for 2 people, since their steak only came in the size of 500 gram - which was not mentioned on the menu, then I ordered the 250 gram Entrecote which was priced at EUR 59 - and having a steak at that price sets some expectations. But the Entrecote was a huge disappointment, as it was far from tender, especially compared to the announced beef quality, and to the experience from the Ladies Cut steaks my wife and daughter had. I expressed my disappointment, and they decided to fix the quality issue by giving the steak 2 more minutes in the oven (it was served medium) and the Chef decided to cut the the entire beef up for me, it definitely changed the fact that it was difficult to cut - but it did not change the perception of the lack of tenderness. Since there was no follow up from the waitress, I finally caught her attention and after some internal conversation I was asked if I wanted a replacement, which I accepted - and went for the safe choice of the evening - the Ladies cut, which was excellent and tender - but cold inside. After the deserts I asked for the bill - where the restaurant HAD included the EUR 59 for the Entrecute, and not the replacement which was priced app EUR 34 less. I pointed this out to the waitress - and I even had to argue to get the difference. All kitchens can make mistakes - but the way it was handled by the restaurant was a bad experience.Dear Mr Wichmann L, thank you very much for your feedback. It is in our interest that every guest has a good experience in our beautiful restaurant. We are very sorry to hear that you had such an experience. That is definitely not our standard. We will be following this issue up with our staff on our next meeting. We hope to see you again for a better experience and would love to invite you for desert.Greetings from Kaprun, your 24 Team

Urban, cosy with a modern touch - that's the Orgler's Restaurant in the centre of Kaprun. We only cook with the best ingredients, but serve without bells and whistles. Whether for a large appetite or delicious snacks to tide you over - everyone finds some
Dined with my family here. Though the restaurant was quite full, there was only one hostess running around like crazy. This resulted in hasted service, not really warm feeling. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, and the food and wine were awesome. Recommend coming here when it's not high-season. Ordered some glasses of wine, but had to pay more, probably cause we received more, this could have been communicated better. The wait was quite long, but the food made up for it. Though a bit more would have been nice, especially when you have had a long day skiing and are pretty hungry.

Don't eat here, go sowhere else.At the glacier at Kitzsteinhorn, there are few eating facilities. Although this is one of the few places, pick one of the other restaurants. This place is huge and it lacks atmosphere, lacks service, lacks good food, the prices are high.Because the place is so big, people tend to become anti-social. People leave their trays on the tables. And there are only a few service personnel, doing their best. But the place becomes dirty, with food on the ground, tables sticky, and such.
Beautiful location and a very clean and comfortable environment. We did not stay at the Hotel but did eat in the Restaurant. A small but nice menu and the food was very good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This is a great location for staying a few nights or just a bite to eat.
