Reviews on Indian food in Salzburg, Austrian Alps, Austria. It’s been 200 years or so since he lived here, but Mozart is still very much Salzburg’s favorite son. Visit the composer’s residence and birthplace, then explore the Altstadt (Old City), taking in the baroque architecture. If your musical tastes run more "Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens" than "Requiem in D Minor," catch one of the many Sound of Music tours and follow in the footsteps of the Von Trapps.

We discovered Taj Mahal in Salzburg, Austria a few hours after arriving in town. Couldn't get into the restaurant on our first night in town, but made a reservation for the following night. Had the best Lentil Soup (Dal) we've ever encountered. This was folowed by excellent lamb and chicken dishes and wrapped up with an excellent rice pudding for dessert. Restaurant is largely family run - father, son and daughter. Very knowledgeable, friendly and competent staff. We were so impressed we booked another dinner for our last night in Salzburg - it was a repeat of competence on all levels.

After spending a whole day at Hallstatt.. we were craving for some good indian food and we checked the TripAdvisor rating for this restaurant. This is the only time tripadvisor misled us in quality and price. The price was very high as compare to food served. The lady who attended greeted us well and took our order.. we asked her to serve us tap water which she did and charged us 1euro for it without even informing us before. This was strange and made us even more irritated.

We ordered vegetarian food - both quality and quantity was very good. Paneer was surprisingly good for Europe. Pudhina roti was awesome. Chole could have been better but still tasty.
