We waited 45 minutes to be offered a drink. The bad service contiuned with forgotten drinks, no apoligizes and food that did not meet expectations. The pepper steak had no pepper sauce and the wine glasses were not changed between white and red wine. Amazing this place stays open.

Along with the amazing experience and amazing pretzels, the food is pretty great as well. Food is much better than other beer houses.

We were sent here by Gasthof Badl for an early, light dinner and a beer. We ordered a burger of beef and one of pork, one with potato wedges and the other with dumpling wedges. They were huge, flavorful, and reasonably priced. The beer was as advertised. Service was personable and fitting for this seventeenth century hotel.Thank you very much for your feedback!Best regards Team Engl

We wanted to do something different on this trip to Austria and this fit the bill. We reserved online, but they had to move our reservation to a different day. The management notified us immediately and kindly offered us another time. Our German language skills are limited, and we were the only foreigners dining that night. However, the staff made us feel very welcome and included my husband in part of the dining experience. We truely felt like we were part of the crowd! Many of the patrons went out of their way to befriend us and offer insights into Austrian German speaking ( not a real suprise, I find Austrians to be kind and friendly everywhere we go). We booked the six course meal which was way too much food for two people. The food quality was very good. All in all, this was a very fun night. I would however recommend it to a larger group- there is just too much food for 2! Perhaps the four couse option would have been more appropriate for us. The only con of this evening was the difficulty in finding this place. It is tucked away in a small alley- and there are many small alleys in this city!
