Our old-established inn that has been owned by our family for 5 generations is located in a quiet spot in the village centre of Kirchdorf. It is very popular with the locals and it is characterised by typical Tyrolean hospitality. Our house is the perfect
We recently stayed at this wonderful Gasthof and from arrival to departure everything was totally outstanding. The room was bright and spacious and impeccably clean, The owners were nothing short of exceptional and welcoming. Being B&B owners ourselves, we look at other businesses with discerning eyes, yet, we could not find one single fault with this establishment. In a single word AUSGEZEICHNETThe breakfasts were plentiful and very sustaining with a large selection to sate any palate. Great coffee. The highlight of our stay were the two dinners we had. The food was remarkable and ohhhhhhhhhh! so very tasty. The plates were well presented and our waiter/waitress was courteous, very friendly and most professional. All in all, we highly recommend anyone staying in Kirchdorf or the surrounding area to stay or dine at this exceptional establishment. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!Hi Carol & Harry!Thank you so much for finding time to report your impressions of your stay.We are very glad to hear that you had a nice time at our Gasthof and that you were satisfied with our facilities and staff. We are happy that you enjoyed your meals - and that you have described them as your highlight. It means a lot to us that you recommend our house and it would be a pleasure to welcoming you again!Maybe, we will visit your B&B in Canada once.Best wishesBettinaand the Team of Landgasthof Mauth

Festsaal was pretty empty when we visited but it really shouldn't be, the food as fantastic! Plus the service was excellent, particularly as we had a baby with us. Seems that mushrooms are a speciality, not a bad thing though, all cooked to perfection!

We went to this place for a lunch, sitting outside with a nice view. We ordered Schnitzel and gebratene Semmelknödel "fried Bread dumplings". The Schnitzel was homemade as well as the fried potatoes. The fried bread dumplings were served in an iron pan, sliced with egg and a bit pumkin seed pesto. Delicious! That's something I like when food is handmade and with some little nice ideas. Many dishes were available as smaller portions, also great service! We would definately come again!

Welcome to our restaurant and biologic farm in Lofer. We are a family organisation. We want to offer regional food with local ingrediants from our own farm.
This is perhaps one of the best places for real traditional home made mountain cabin food what the local farmers and forresters would eat during their working adventures in the mountain woods. Very simple, rustic, delicious, authentic, genuine and nutricious. Lots of calories but after a good day of walking, hiking or climbing this is a must to recover quickly. The owners do the cooking and serve the food themselves. They only have a few tables inside and wise to make a reservation as they also host many local guests or from their own guest appartments. The place is located almost in the middle of nowhere. But easy access by car or when passing by by foot or mountainbike. The prices are low and they are such nice people. I like this place a lot and I highly recommend it. They deserve your visit. The menu is small and simple. No long wine lists or so. Please keep that in mind. Just like the most people only speak German and no English.

Bottom Line Up Front: This is a must go with the family as they are very relaxed and parents will be able to enjoy their meals and drinks at large tables - however do not expect 'fine' food.Pros: Food and drink choice is good for a Apre Ski location you could ski too - great service and very friendly team all around with family.Cons: It would be nice to have a bit more refined Bavarian food in such a unique and lovely location, but don't let that stop you going! Recommend: Go early to get a table or make a reservation.

Our hotel recommended this place and they were spot-on! The portion sizes were huge (Americans take note!) and everything we ordered was well-prepared and tasty. The service also was excellent, and don't worry if you don't speak German, there is an English menu and the staff speak English as well. As a family of four, we found the prices very reasonable. We ordered a meal-sized salad, schnitzel, and a few other dishes. Everyone was a success. The beer selection was excellent as well. This was our favorite restaurant in town. We highly recommend it.An important note: make reservations! This is a small place and quite popular.

This restaurant is located on top of the skiing area Steinplatte and belongs to Austria. There is also another restaurant directly opposite of this one and I think it belongs to Germany. We had a noodle soup and another soup accompanied by some drinks. The price was ok considering that you are in a skiing area. There were many tables and benches outside, there was also the possibility to sit inside. To get you food, you have to go inside and order it at the sveral stations. The room looks like a cantine, and so does the food. For example the noodle soup is done the following way: they put cooked noodles on your plate. Then they put the broth on it. Then the sausage. I mean that might be done like this in all other restaurants in this area, however here you see it. To this atmosphere contributes in addition the way of collecting the dishes. Two people are occupied all day with driving a table with wheels through the rows of benches and collecting the dishes and glasses of the people. Again, this might be done anywhere else but was odd somehow. However to sit outside when the sun is shining can't be beaten. Also the views are great. Toilets are clean as well.

Great restaurant, and a good view skiing down a small road to get there, with a scary drop at the top. Recommend the gurstel, or the pancakes!!! Quality place, especially when the sun is out!!!
