Reviews on German food in Tirol, Austrian Alps, Austria. Once known as The Land of the Mountains, the 10,000-square-mile province of Tirol is a wonderland of gushing rivers, lush meadows and rugged peaks. Fantastic hiking trails wind along paths through the Zillertal Alps. Famed resort towns confetti the mountainsides, including Kitzbühel, St. Anton, Ischgl and Seefeld, site of some events in the 1964 and 1976 Winter Games. Compact capital Innsbruck is a medieval gem. The Tirolean identity is strong: Expect to see lederhosen and feathered hats.

The menu was reduced early at 1 pm and the upper floor was closed because it was "already prepared for the dinner guests". But: the Cheeseburger with Bacon was one of the best ever! ...and so huge...much more than a snack!

The rewarding view across parts of the Alps, the friendly service and the typical local food is definitely worth the approximately 3 hours lasting steep hike to the Prantneralm! For the lazy ones or people with problems hiking there is a road from the valley which takes you all the way up to this gem!Thank you very much for your kind review!

We tried the hamburger, the raclette steak and the Groschtl that consists of 2 friend eggs and potatoes with a selección oficial meat. Everything was good and tasty. The waitress provided with coloring book and pencils for the child's entertainment. Waiting time was good as well as not expensive prices. If you are around, you will probably want to make a visit.

This is our absolute favorite food experience in Mittenwald so far!! The food is delicious! The staff are so helpful and warm to us! The portions are huge! The prices are reasonable! They donât take credit cards and we learned that you need a reservation! We made another reservations three evenings from now!!

Located in Partenkirchen, next to bus stop. Beautiful old town area with lots of shops and restaurants. Schloderer a baverean atmosphere. Comfortable, casual, small and friendly service. They will accommodate just about any dietary requests you have. My wife requires gluten free and they made one of the meals on the menu gluten free for her. Warning, very popular with locals so if you want a seat go early.

Wonderful lunch in the sun just above the Hohe Mut mid-station.Huge variety of food (both traditional or otherwise - the ribs were great!) and drinks at reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and efficient. A great place to relax and spend an afternoon out in the sun if warm, or tucked up inside at a cosy booth when the snow sets in. Thoroughly recommended.

Das Marktrestaurant has a Michelinstar for one year now. Owner Andreas and his wife Nancy no how to spoil their guests with great food and beautiful wines. The restaurant which is open for lunch and dinner is located in the lovely small village of Mittenwald, close to the border of Austria. That's why a lot of people, from example Seefeld, take a 15 min. drive to have a unique dinner. The price/quality is superb!!! Please open a second restaurant on our Markt in Amsterdam!!!!

Having booked ahead of time (recommend) based solely on TA reviews, I felt reasonably confident that this would be good. First off the building and setting has a genuine traditional appearance, and a stunning vista. Good start.Staff were very friendly, and welcoming offering up genuine good natured banter (it's a word get over it).The food was very good, in terms of taste it was spot on. Everything was tasting like a better version of the food you are used to in your life of consuming mass produced produce. Not only this but all the dishes were prepared very well. I would happily give this place 5/6 based on food alone. With all the other bits it's easily 6/6.Worth the little trip up the winding mountain road.Dear TravelHero85!Thank you very much. All the bestFamily Geisler

Lovely owner kept the restaurant open for us on a Sunday night, we had a delicious meal. The quantities are HUGE, so come hungry! An interesting feature is the caramelised fruit they serve with savoury dishes. Nice choice of Austrian wines (mostly Burgenland). Freshly prepared pancake for dessert. We plan to come back during daytime to be able to enjoy the view even better.
