After a long walk down from the Fellhorn, we found this little gem. Situated slightly above the valley, with a pretty garden and its own trout pond, it has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The menu offers a good selection, and the service was quick and friendly. I had the Kaiserschmarrn, which was very good, and the portion was big. My partner had a delicious soup. The restaurant is not in Oberstdorf itself, but near the Fellhorn cable car. You can get there by car, so it's also suitable for non-hikers.

My husband and I dined here one night in June 2015 - we were in Mittleberg for some hiking.I had a small salad and spaghetti with tomato sauce - the sauce was nicely spiced and the portion generous. He had a schnitzel and then one of their ice cream desserts.I had asked for a menu with English which they did not have but our waitress spoke some English and was helpful and professional. The food is Austrian regional and the quality was very goodthe restaurant is attached to a hotel, which most in town are and seats a lot of people but it was not noisy. They also have an outdoor terrace.NOTE: restaurants in town close at 8pm so plan accordingly.

We loved our evening at Riegers. The service was spot on, really friendly and caring. The atmosphere was wonderful. Slightly modern still keeping the rustic charm befitting the town. We shared flammkuchen for entree....we LOVE flammkuchen so relished the chance! Perfectly crisp base, lovely topping, beautifully cooked and light as a feather. Main was venison for me and cooked to perfection with a lovely reduction sauce, perfectly cooked brussel sprouts and chewy parsnip. Seasonal, fresh and delicious. They served the noodles separately and I was happy for that as the dish didn't need it (in my opinion) the portion size was good as is. Portion sizes in Germany seem enormous! My husband had 200gms of rump steak cooked medium rare (you ask for it cooked "English" to get rare to medium rare in this part of Germany!). This dish was a bit of a let down for three simple reasons easy to correct. The steak was unrested so the blood drained onto the plate and mixed with the sauce to make for a pink look, not ideal. The mushroom sauce itself was just bland and needed a good dose of mushroom taste and acidity. The potatoes served with his dish were a bit oily and not very appetising. Just basic errors which I think were the result of a busy kitchen rather than an overall downfall in the cooking as my venison proved they know their stuff out back. So I would absolutely recommend Riegers. The wine list is small and very well priced, the staff really care and it's a great little restaurant we'd return to if we were staying longer.

We popped in without checking before the ratings on it. rasto was full on an sunny saturday. Only lacking here was that 2 waiters where an little overwhelmed by the crowd at luchtime. We got served really good food with starter ahead. Portions are for good appetite and tasty.Inside does resto look like an traditional austrian guesthouse/ resto.I would go back whenever in Hirschegg/Riezlen as i can complain except the Service that could improve.

Fresh cuisine - hearty to vegan, regional to international. In our restaurant, the world of culinary delights meet. International light or hearty cooked refined with regional products. Best Austrian and international drop off your culinary pleasure round.
Riezler Hof is a very nice restaurant, a little snob I might say... I would not mind it if the service would be accordingly excellent - it isn't. The German waitresses are not as friendly as you would expect in a nice restaurant as this one. My Austrian companion said he thinks they were rude. I think she was eventually was just too busy while the manager was busy with her smart phone and standing around in the reception..About the food - that was best in Kleinwalsertal and the wine was very good too. We paid for nice appetisers, nice main courses, 0.5L Zweigelt and a campari to start with 72⬠which is less than in some other places in Kleinwalsertal while food was the best. I hope they improve their service. If they will I will give them next time 5 points but tonights service can impossible be recognised with more that 4 points even the food was very, very good. My compliments to the cook!Eventually German guests think the German waitresses are polite. I did not.

Mouth watering traditional Tirol dishes - at supersized portions on your plata. Even my 15year old teenage son could not finish his Wiener Schnitzel!! Atmosphere is also traditional a bit kitschy, and thatâs part of the deal :) Very friendly staff and the owner herself comes to each table to greets the guest personally. Top!

A recent visit to Riezlern found me & my family eating 4 out of 5 nights in this very friendly restaurant. We had something different each time and nothing disappointed us. The owner and all the staff were friendly & efficient. I would highly recommend it.

We had asked our host at our vacation home where we could have dinner - one of her recommendations was the Eberlehof. As it is situated somewhat out of the well traveled areas we were surprised that there was a rather large crowd for dinner. Once we ordered and were served we understood why so many came there - the service was very friendly and attentive, the food was good and generous. All around a very good experience.
