I ve been to Innsbrück a couple of times but never dined here before. Made a reservation which was good because the place was packed. Was greeted friendly and my reservation was found. A nice corner table on the ground floor. was offered drinks and got my bread and so on. Ordered a Tyrolean creamy potatoe soup and a Wiener Schnitzel. Had an austrian Riesling with it. Slightly perly. Great.I got my food. Then the waiter disappeared. The restaurant seemed understaffed on a saturday night.Soup was good and creamy.Schnitzel tasted good but its by far the smallest schnitzel I ever had in a restaurant. Prices are okay but Ottoburg claim to be fine dining and it does have the features to go with it but alas not enough staff. White tablecloths, elabourate enough a menu, great food(food was indeed tasty) and great location but a waitor extra would have done the trick. Nevertheless a good dining experience in the old town of Innsbrück. But remember to book a table.

We came here at suggestion of family who live in Innsbruck. It was warm enough to sit outside despite rain showers and there were plenty of dry tables under the roof of umbrellas. These were all blocked off with chairs, but there was one table by the entrance free and we asked a waitress if we could sit there -'Naturlich' was her answer. Then a grumpy waiter said it was reserved - no-one sat there the whole time we were there. There being nothing else offered outside, we went inside, which was very crowded. We spotted a table and sat down. There was very slow service as only certain waiting staff could take your order and our one was more interested in ensuring he had a beer for himself and was quite grumpy. Food was typical Austrian fare and nothing to grumble about when we got it - it was tasty and filling. The beer was good too. This is a very touristy place, but also frequented by locals and it would have been a pleasanter experience if there had been the usual friendly Austrian welcome of other places in Innsbruck. Warning: the English translation of dishes is not always accurate, Bauern Groestl was described as kedgeree whereas no rice is involved...

We can be found right in the heart of Innsbruck. 35 years in business says a lot about us. Best steaks in town, promise! ;-D
Took a break from a skiing holiday to visit Innsbruck. The city is much like any other european large town with exception of the 'old town'. This is very much worth seeing with many medieval buildings and squares still intact. Consequently, there is an element of tourist tat and some restaurants with photos of 'traditional' meals. We were fortunate therefore to find the pianobar just off the main square and the house with the 'golden roof'.Really nice place with a long bar and main eating area towards the back. Friendly service and varied inexpensive menu to customers who were a mix of tourists and locals.Meals (Rosti) were really good. Freshly cooked with lovely side salad. Cant fault.

Surrounded by historical buildings, like the first school in Innsbruck with its chapel, you can enjoy light and local cuisine away from the hustle and bustle of the town. At lunchtime the terrace provides shade and in the evening you can count the stars.
We spent a week in Tyrol and ate a lot of Schnitzel and spaetzle, but the ones here were the best we had. We ate a lunchtime and the service was quick and friendly. The waiters speak excellent English. The food was outstanding. We ate upstairs on the first floor. There is a great private dining room that would seat about 8-10 people that feels like your own Alpine chalet. Do not miss the Kaesspeatzle and the Preisselbeersaft (a traditional cranberry juice drink).

Tiroler Weinstube in Innsbruck is a cultural Austrian restaurant/pub. It doesn't strive for attention using fancy displays or an elaborate website. It is a local establishment that gives you a family-owned feeling that you may expect from a small-scale hotspot from the 70's and 80's. Charming in the sense that it never seems to make you feel marketed towards as a tourist, but slightly to the contrary as regulars stop their conversations as you walk in through a cloud of tobacco smoke to order a drink or request a table. The smaller non-smoking section is located in the rear while the few outdoor tables seem to allow for better ventilation. Rumors of massive serving sizes convinced us to order the smaller goulash plate with bread and the award winning best value choice pork with dumpling, gravy, and small side salad. What was served to us looked simple, but tempting. Exceptional taste and quantity for a fit couple in their mid-30's who are usually fairly critical of what they are served. Excellent value at â¬13.20 after tax (and â¬3.20 additional for a large dark brew) made us quite pleased with our experience apart from having to choose a few annoying flies outside over a denser smoke filled interrior. Recommended mostly for the value and quality of the food along with the authentic feeling, less so for the person who has issues with tobacco smoke. Waitress speaks English. I would recommend Fischerhäusl for an amazing food! We ordered Chefssalad and Schlutzkrapfen and were glad with our choice! Schlutzkrapfen is big ravioli filled with spinach and cheese (greed ones with cheese and white ones with spinach to be more colorful). Chefssalad consists of defferent green leaves, girgonzolla, apples, wallnuts and cranberries. Our waitress Melanie could have been a bit friendlier... A table can be booked online.

This little place was a great find. Very rustic, wooden and small with a cosy warm atmosphere. The sandwiches for the children were delicious and the platter of cured meats delicious and plentiful. The staff were all exceptionally pleasant and helpful. Affordable prices; sandwiches at â¬5 a piece and platter â¬15 pp. We popped by again for a second visit and bought speck to bring back home. Highly recommended!

As is typical of a Tyrolean inn, the chef here serves only the very best from Tyrol and the rest of Austria. Variety and regional products are a priority for us. The ingredients largely come from the surrounding area - whether Tyrolean dumplings or Vienne
It's a huge restaurant with a lot of tables in different separated rooms and outside seating, too. Mostly they serve local dish. The staff was very attentive and fulfilled all our special requests. The food was very good and delivered very quick; but fresh cooked! We were so satisfied, that we'd come back the very next day!!We do highly recommend this restaurant !
