Good food, huge portions, large selections. There is a bar for drinks. Very nice view and linger while kids play in the adventure play area.

having only experienced french apres ski (rubbish) this place opened my eyes. it is mental from 3pm every day until about 9pm. 3.50 euros for a pint of weissbeer or try the excellent gluewein or jagertee. get there early if you want a seat unless you want ot just jump about to the mad apres tunes

Ate here twice and both times good food, however! First night I asked for tap water and was given a bottle of water with top already unscrewed, queried this when the bill was presented as charged â¬4.40 but waitress put it down to a mistake / misunderstanding. Second time eating there a few days later I asked for tap water again, same scenario, I queried again when bill presented and was more forceful with my query, there was some consultation between the waitress and head of house but no offer of removing the water from the bill, but offered schnapps instead (guilty offering I suspect). To the restaurant - why do it? All you are going to get is annoyed customers which is a shame when the food and service is actually good - when your customers ask for tap water they want tap water (particularly in the mountainous region of Austria) not to be charged for tap water in a fancy bottle, all you will get is a poor reputation and declining sales!!!We have sparking waterWe have still waterWe have water from the tapeYou ordert still water, we serve still water and you drink still water! But please come back I give you back the 4,40 Euros!

So witzig. Da geht man in den SB-Bereich, sucht sich was aus, bezahlt und hat ab da einen Mitarbeiter bei sich, der Getränke und Essen zum Platz bringt. Klasse Idee.

We decided to celebrate in this restaurant a birthday and we're happy of our choice. Their menu is absolutely delicious and harmonic. Service were really friendly a we enjoyed our dinner. They cooked for us also some sweet surprise for a birthday occasion. It's very expensive restaurant you should calculate with at least â¬100 p/P with some wine but you'll be satisfied with everything. I can recommand this restaurant for some festive occasion!

We have visited the Alm in both summer and winter. Great food - plentiful and very little waiting around. Lovely ambience with live music in the evenings. So good quality, tasty and great value

While staying in Ellmau we had lunch twice in Lobewein 2nd time because we enjoyed it do much the first time! The service is good and as usual in Austria and other European countries the bill follows last, unlike the UK where money has to be paid before you have eaten...The menu was very good with English written menus available. The prices are the norm for Austria but not too expensive. We paid â¬8.50 or thereabouts for 1/2 chicken with chips and very huge portions.I would recommend this restaurant for eating and drinking in Ellmau.

In our 400-year-old Gasthof Stanglwirt, you can experience some authentic Tyrolean traditions in a historic ambience, along with tasty regional delicacies and specialities. In winter, the cosy Stangl Alm dining room is an inviting place to savour the flav
After a trip on the Kitzbüheler Horn (beautiful view) booked a table (recommend making a reservation) at this 'institute' with the family. An extensive choice of merely traditional dishes with attention to Bio products. Nice kids menu as well. Huge wine list (really you may need help of the Sommelier) and friendly attentive service, not too formal which was nice. Food was perfect with big portions. You pay a little more probably compared to your local town restaurant but quality is clearly higher so surely not too expensive. Beautiful place as well. Five stars. Dear JanC_8, thank you very much for visiting our traditional restaurant with your family and your time to write this wonderful feedback. We are happy that you enjoyed the evening. Many thanks also for your praise to our staff, food and wine list. We promise you that we try our best to maintain our high standards and expand our good sides. We are looking forward to see you again and wish you all the best till your return. Yours familiy Hauser and the entire Stanglwirt team

We stopped off for lunch before heading for Kitzbuehel. We had a lovely table by the window with the sun streaming in. The Schnitzel, Tyrollean platter, sausages etc. were all very good and we did not have room for dessert. The waiting staff were friendly and relaxed.

I've been here before. I gave it five stars before. I'll be coming here again. It's probably my favourite mountain restaurant in an area that has lots of nice mountain huts. Espresso and Hagebuttentee. Rosehip to you. Not the best espresso, but this is Austria, not Italy. Service was good. We came back a few hours later for lunch. Ribs, BBQ sauce, potato salad. I could have had a baked potato or chips. My partner had Wienerschitzel with chips, so I stole some of hers. Plate piled high, and all good
