Find out what European restaurants to try in Salzburg. It’s been 200 years or so since he lived here, but Mozart is still very much Salzburg’s favorite son. Visit the composer’s residence and birthplace, then explore the Altstadt (Old City), taking in the baroque architecture. If your musical tastes run more "Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens" than "Requiem in D Minor," catch one of the many Sound of Music tours and follow in the footsteps of the Von Trapps.

Carl Zuckmayer refers to this place in his memoirs, as do countless other celebrities, who have drunk this or that glassful at the Braustüberl. They did so for a good reason.
About 20 minutes walk from the old town and you'll see a large yellow building with its name on it. The beer was good and we also had the roast pork which was excellent.

My husband and I tried to eat dinner here on Monday, March 4th at 7:15 pm. We were asked if we had a reservation, and then rudely turned away. We saw that one dining room was completely empty. I'm guessing they were short of kitchen or wait staff help.Dear Bucherma, I am very sorry that you didn´t get a table at our Restaurant. I am not sure, but probably we served dinner in our smaller Dining room that night and this may be was full.May be you will visit us again - with Reservation in Advance please - during your next visit to Salzburg. All the best, Sylvia

The restaurant is called quite simply âesszimmerâ (âdining roomâ). Anything more would be superfluous, says star chef Andreas Kaiblinger. After all, the âreal adventure happens in the cooking pot.â
Visiting Salzbury in early January, the restaurant was quite quiet. Dietary and allergy requirements happily accommodated, and expertly handled during the serving. The vegetarian tasting menu was delicious, as was the wine pairing which complemented the dishes beautifully (my waitress even substituting a wine for another Austrian one when Iâd expressed a particular interest in Austrian wines). Commendably, unlike any other fine dining restaurant Iâve visited, their vegetarian tasting menu is cheaper (reflecting the lesser cost of sourced ingredients). Finally, as a whisky fan I was pleased to discover an Austrian whisky on the menu. Whilst Iâm predominantly a Scotch drinker, I was very impressed. Definitely worth a try as an digestive.

Canât say enough. Book in advance. Only one seating each night. If you can request Thomasâ section do it (only 2 sections). Food was incredible. Pumpkin soup best in the WORLD. Moderately priced as well. We live in Chicago...this meal would have cost double there. We will be back.

See seperate review of Schloss M but when you see locals eat at a place you know you are in the right spot. Not a "walkable" option in Salzburg but take a taxi to a top shelf location.Chef has been there 13+ years which is another good sign. Not for budget folks ( go to Augustiner just at bottom of the hill for that ) but incredible. Josef will leave you smiling....hopefully the woman chef is on duty making ravioli of any kind but the polenta ravioli were outstanding. Also, Austrian wines run and don't let inexpensive price fool you. They are top quality and highly recommended. Dear guest, thank you very much that you took the time to write such a beautiful review about our new Restaurant "The Glass Garden". Your positive feedback is a great motivation and reward for us, we passed your praise to our kitchen and service team and they were happy that you enjoyed a wonderful time in our restaurant. We are already looking forward to welcome you soon again in our castle hotel high above Salzburg!Kind regards,Samantha Teufel

Enjoy baroque flair in an original palace from the 18th century. Your evening at Cuisino should start with an relaxing dinner. We will be serving fine compositions of domestic and international cuisine. The Dinner & Casino voucher provides enjoyment at it
We visited here during a trip to Salzburg. We wanted high end cuisine for a special occasion, and an attractive venue. This location ticked these boxes. The restaurant and casino are located in Schloss Klessheim, a grand manor house and attractive gardens. We were there for the surroundings and restaurant, not the gambling, but you can do this too.We were seated in a comfortable corner table in the attractive dining room. We started with some good champagne and amuse bouche of smoked ham. For starters we had the duck comsomme and fish carpaccio, both excellent and well presented, excepting a slight liquid spill (not cleaned up) from the soup plate - a minor complaint, but not what is expected in a venue like this. For mains we had the steak and duck dishes. The duck was excellent and served with calvados sauce and apples. The steak was good although slightly overcooked, as it came out medium, not med-rare as requested.Desserts of coffee parfait and hazelnut were very good although placed on the table without explanation as to what they consisted of. Again, a minor complaint, but not what is expected here. The wine list is good and extensive. We had a bottle of St Emillion. We would return, the servers are friendly and pleasant. Recommend.Dear Andrew, thank you for the feedback and your rating. We really appreciate your qualitative feedback as it gives us the chance to improve. We hope to welcome you again soon at Cuisino Salzburg.Best, Team Casino/Cuisino

On our 1st night in Salzburg we decided to be guided by TripAdvisor reviews and chose Meet2Eat, the reviews are true it's fantastic!Located near the airport on the main road to Innsbruck , surrounded by car dealerships, it's about 3km out of central Salzburg. We chose to arrive by public bus the number 180 from the central station HBF and returned on the N2 trolley bus, journey time about 20 mins cost â¬2.40. Use the Karolingerstr stop. We had reserved online and we were greeted by then very friendly staff when we arrived at 1830. We chose to sit out outside in a covered area. There is a comprehensive menu, my wife chose a duck with Cumberland sauce starter and I chose a smoked fish with avocado. Superb - genius portion , lovely salad and dressing accompaniment. This was followed by both of us choosing get the tenderloin / fillet steak with a pepper sauce again a generous portion with garden vegetables and noisette potatoes. The best steak we have had in many years, cooked to perfection. Dessert was a very comprehensive selection of local cheese and a creme brûlée with orange sorbet and fruits. The restaurant also has a very friendly and most helpful sommelier who recommended an excellent local wine to compliment the meal. All staff were extremely friendly , helpful and efficient, and spoke excellent English as my German is lacking . The meal with pre dinner drinks was â¬150 , good value for the quality and overall experience. We plan to return during our stay .
