We spoil you with high end products of our region. As far as possible we buy our products local and make sure that we receive the best quality possible. Biological ice cream, fresh squeezed juices, homemade cakes, fresh salads and much more. Settle down o
We chose home made potato soup with herbs and mushrooms followed by the biggest ice-cream dessert I have ever seen. Both were excellent and very good value for money and the waitress was charming and friendly. Ambience was relaxing. Definitely on our itinerary for a future visit.

We went here three years ago and loved the food so when we came back this year, it was our second lace to have dinner- we were so sad to wait - they are closed on Tuesday ( our first night) so we had to eat somewhere else on the first night- but it gave us good comparison- this place IMO is first rate. It is in the village so you can walk to it Many rated on TA. are not in the village but in an neighboring village so I think this is good to know. The wiener Schnitzel ( it is pork not veal - it is that way in Austria) is fresh prepared - you can hear them pound the filet in the kitchen). We sat in the protected outside which is charming. Last time DH had Jagerschnitzel and ask to have spaetzle instead of potatoes which was no problem. When I could not eat all of my dinner - they wrapped it up for me to take to the condo. They speak English and are very kind and the service is excellent. This is a family business and the restaurant is connected to the house. I love that. That is why they have longer hours. The people at the next table had pizza ( why in Austria I dont know but hey ) it was generous in size and smelled delicious. The prices are quite reasonable and yup the food was better than our first night hence why we keep coming back and they remember us- probably because we dine early but always happy to see us. BTW - there is photo that shows up - that is the deer stew which looked amazing - i just love schnitzel so have not tried yet.

Kronreith Hotel and Restaurant is located about 1 mile up the hill out of the village of Maria Alm and has fantastic views of the Mountains and Valley. We dined outside on the balcony and enjoyed a fantastic meal. I ordered the grilled Trout with Potatoes and spinach. I would have to say it is the best Trout I have tasted, cooked to perfection. The Apple strudel to follow was also delicious. The Restaurant staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous, I would certainly visit again if we return to the area.

The restaurant has pretty interior and excellent, fast service, but the food was something like average or bellow average depending on the dish, plain and not flavourful at all. They have to improve the menu and upscale every dish, in texture, flavour and presentation. It is on the road so you can drive there by car from Leogang or Saalfelden after skiing.

We stopped to the Hubertus restaurant at Sunday afternoon. The location is slighltly above the town of Saalfelden in a lovely hill with absolutely stunning view across the walley and its beautiful mountains. The facility is located in a brand new house, it is tastefully designed and the service is outstandigly nice. Even their kitchen was officialy having mid day break, they made us a typical soup with a cheese dumplings - and it was the best I have ever eaten in Austria. We didnt have the chance to eat more, but we will surely return when we will be back in the area. All in all I strongly. Recommend this place as it was really beautiful, delicious and pleasant experience and it is absolutely worth the trip off the town. Thank you for being so nice to us!

Great delicious food, and very large portions if you take one of the mix grill plates. Service is great, very friendly staff - feels like a family business. Real greek people.Only downside is they don't accept payment by card.

The venue itself and the views are great. It is a shame that staff is not very friendly (which is an understatement). During our next visits to Huggenberg we took the short stroll to Forsthofalm, where the owner (Hilda) is very kind. Forsthofalm does not have an extensive menu, but the venue itself is interesting and the views are magic.

Vollerei is the kind of restaurant I always look for when staying in a town: original, innovative and determined to be different. Of course, such restaurants don't always hit the mark as the ambition and desire to impress can overwhelm good judgement and restraint. Fortunately, our choices of dish, with just one exception, were creative without being pretentious, beautifully presented and well executed. Most dishes will arrive in an unusual format but never did the food play second fiddle. They had a great selection of cocktaills (I particularly liked the one that featured balsamic vinegar) which made up for a slightly lacklustre selection of local wines available by the glass. The dish that disappointed was the pumpkin granite which was far too large (even shared between 2) and oddly lacking in enough interest to get you through far too many spoonfuls. The pacing of the meal was our main criticism. I think we had been seated for over 45 minutes before we ate our first bite and the meal ran well over 2 hours even though we arrived at 1830. For a restaurant of this calibre, more effort needs to go into actively managing the tables and ensuring an even pace of service. Our suspicion is that Vollerei was understaffed when we visited. All said, our meal was one of the best we had in the region and visitors are advised to book ahead as only residents at the co-located Hindenburg are likely to get the last tables.

We spent our Feb/2017 ski holiday at Gasthaus Brandlwirt Saalfelden in the Almblick apartment with 7 people. Great (re)new(ed) cosy flat, sleeping rooms well insulated, typical Austrian atmosphere/ambiance with lots of wood. The restaurant serves great fully home-cooked Austrian dishes (not easy to secure a table though since restaurant mostly fully booked).Rosemarie & Bernhard succeeded wonderfully to make us feel at home from day 1 onwards. In general excellent value for your money.Definitely a 'must (re)do' address!
