The Rossalm lies immediately above the valley station of the Stubnerkogel cable-car in Bad Gastein. It is easily accessible on the descent from the Stubnerkogel, or on foot, only a few minutes from the car park. Enjoy coffee or lunch on the large sun terr
Went there because of good ratings on TripAdvisor and were not disappointed at all. It's been one of the best restaurant experience lately. Food was delicious, service was superb and there were nice views of the town and mountains. Simply a very good experience. Highly recommend.

This hotel is an excellent choice to stay if you travel to the Mölltal Gletscher. It's a family-owned hotel, who are excellent hosts, very friendly and nice. The rooms are very cosy and nice, the meals are delicious and you can be sure you will never be hungry there :) The service is very friendly.

This restaurant serves pizza's and typical Austrian dishes like wienerschnitzel, cordon blue etc. We had a jaeger schnitzel with French fries. Big portions and delicious. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The restaurant is on the road to Mallnitz and is easy to find with plenty of parking space. Just a nice Austrian restaurant which I can highly recommend!
Danke.

We only stayed at the restaurant next to the "Ankogel-Seilbahn". Great service! My 11-year-old nephew ordered trout and was invited to catch it himself from the fish tank. The "Kaiser-Schmarren" comes as a portion you can share. The "Schoko-Schmarren" is popular with children - but be prepared to help them finish it off.
This was dinner In a very nice and cozy atmosphere. Very tasty dishes and desserts served with a very good red wine. The waiter was very kind and helpful.

We walked up there one afternoon. It's a great walk. Take the way through the woods. The restaurant was very disappointing. First, there was one waiter for a completely full house. He was also slow, inefficient and didn't seem to want to serve us as we weren't local. Next, half our food didn't come but was still on the bill. The food we got was ok. Nothing special. There are some way better places in Mallnitz and Obervellach. There was a great looking dessert we wanted to order but after the long wait we gave up. I'd recommend enjoying the area, packing a lunch and maybe just stopping for a drink.

Restaurant Raineralm is close to the Ankogel Bergbahn. After we came down from the Ankogel funicular we looked around for lunch. The signposts pointing us to Raineralm were at the right place at the right moment. Raineralm is a wooden structure with plenty of room to sit outside. But the inside the restaurant is also clean and spacious. The menu specializes in local food, made with fresh ingredients. It is a simple menu; don't expect to extract a full three course meal from it, but a good and tasty lunch can be ordered from the menu. I selected eggs and bacon, with bread on the side, with a large beer to go with that. The meal was tasty and the beer cold, although only bottled beer is available here. Prices are friendly and the service of the "mother of the house" is impeccable. Parking spaces are available close to the building. To be recommended

Real authentic austrian place, very cosy, family-owned with fireplace, hunting tropheys and just a few tables. Not so easy to reach unless you go there by car, especially during the night, but sure worth it!We were seven and ordered spare ribs which were simply delicious!!! Make sure you make a reservation and tell them in advance you want ribs, they'll be ready as soon as you arrive. With wine and water, the whole bill for seven was around 100 euros so more than reasonably priced. The owner was also very friendly, spoiled us with free schnaps and joked with us. Top restaurant choice in Mallnitz!
