Lovely evening dinner along the outer terrace of the restaurant with cool evening temperatures and view of the town church. Food was great (one of the least salty Austrian foods I’ve had since my arrival a week ago), portion was also just right. The garlic bread is mind-blowingly yummy!Wide selection of drinks. Chill atmosphere. Special compliments to our waiter Simon, who kept up with his good and steady service throughout dinner, and we didn’t feel out of place. Most importantly, it is very reasonably priced. Good job Restaurant Neue Post!

The Cafe Gredler Cafe produces excellent cream cakes- always a favourite of my wife whenever we’re on holiday The cafe is partly inside (together with the shop) and outside (under umbrellas). Quite simply the food and drinks were both excellent at a reasonable price (well we were on holiday) - a good way to start the days walk.

What an amazing view! Half way on run number 18 we found this gem. We decided to order Wiener schnitzel (what else?) . When they arrived we couldn't believe our eyes! You better be hungry when you visit this place as I can assure you you've never seen a schnitzel that size! Even better if you wash it down with a local beer and you are ready to carry on down number 18 to the next chairlift! Highly recommended!

You of us arrived for an early evening drink at the hotel, tending to stay for dinner. We were virtually ignored and finally given a table in a dark corner of the garden even though we asked to sit at a much nicer one (which was available) beside the pool. Disdainful and unfriendly staff were really off-putting. We sat waiting to be served for such a long time that we got up and left.

As we were staying at an aparthotel, we spent the Christmas Eve in the restaurant of this very nice hotel. Everything was very good: the food, the service, the atmosphere. They even had prepared small gifts for the children. Our 5-year old boy was very happy with the small toy he received.

Lifestyle ski hut on the mountain

Reviewed By PetrS

The only issue of this restaurant is that there is a lack of restaurants in Kaltenbach skiing resort, so this one is just flooded by skiers looking for some place to eat. Unless you come 11:30 latest, you would be stopped by the staff just next to the toilets and waiting in a long line to get in, after they let you in you find out that there are no free tables anyway and you would be running around the restaurants with many other people, trying to get a place to eat. And once you get the place, there will be less lucky people passing by your table all the time, looking for their moment of fortune and finding the place to eat.Otherwise service guys are really trying to cope with overloaded restaurant, despite blocked corridors always in a good mood. Food is really good and you pay just a little bit extra for that compared to standard restaurant on the ski slopes. To summarize - this establishment gets 3 stars only because it does not have a working system how to regulate number of people inside. Place itself, service and food is very nice.

Since my last review, a few things have changed. The previous manager has left and the resteraunt is now managed again by the Hofers, and they have a new chef. They have an uncanny ability to employ the most amazing chefs and staff, as the food is outstanding as always, and the bar staff are never still (either serving drinks and food, washing glasses or cleaning the bar area), and are a credit to the resteraunt. We tend to eat here most nights when we visit, whether that be an delicious full meal on NYE, the most succulent ribs with friends, or a fantastic thin crust pizza if it's just myself the wife.I have to recommend the chestnut soup which, at the risk or sounding cliche, is to die for. It has always been delicious and I have tasted nothing like it outside of Hofers, but dare I say it, the new chef has improved on it.They never cease to amaze me with their amazing food or hospitality. Long may it continue :-)

We spent there 5 nights with halbpension. It was splendid! Every evening, we were allowed to choose something in the "À la carte" style and everything we´ve had was cooked and served that even in 5* hotel (or Michelin star restaurant) would not be ashamed of. Highly recommended to go there and to have a fancy dinner there. Definitely are coming back next year!

Having booked ahead of time (recommend) based solely on TA reviews, I felt reasonably confident that this would be good. First off the building and setting has a genuine traditional appearance, and a stunning vista. Good start.Staff were very friendly, and welcoming offering up genuine good natured banter (it's a word get over it).The food was very good, in terms of taste it was spot on. Everything was tasting like a better version of the food you are used to in your life of consuming mass produced produce. Not only this but all the dishes were prepared very well. I would happily give this place 5/6 based on food alone. With all the other bits it's easily 6/6.Worth the little trip up the winding mountain road.Dear TravelHero85!Thank you very much. All the bestFamily Geisler
