We hadn't been to the Auhof for a while and were pleased to see that it offered a different menu now. Perhaps new owners/chef? The old menu was fantastic but not so suited for lunchtime (for our liking). The new menu offers a great variety of traditional dishes. We had the fried chicken with potato salad and the Caesar salad with chicken. Both were delicious. Excellent service too.The location was also perfect too for a spot in the sun.It was obviously a firm favourite with the locals too - always a good signDear Angela,Thank you very much for your visit at the Auhof terrace which is, like you already mentioned, the sunniest spot in Kaprun.Nice to hear that you are already a regular guest of the Auhof and that you enjoy our quality of food and service. As you have seen and tasted we use only great quailty local products for all our dishes and we will keep on serving local specialities. We are looking forward to welcome you again soon for some decent austrian food, nice wine or the best cakes in town.Best regardsGerald

We were taken her by a local family, to enjoy an evening with Kasnocken, a speciality of the area. It was prepared the way it should, with Pinzgauer cheese and browned onion rings. Everyone eats from one giant pan, 'sociable dining' to a new level... There's also lots of other dishes to choose from, if cheese is not your thing. Those who like cheese, will love the Guggenbichl Kasnocken. Unpretentious, warm and welcoming - a must visit -if you can find it on the hillside above the village of Kaprun. A small minus on smoking allowed in the restaurant. But then again, this is Austria, where smoking is allowed in restaurants. Ask for a non smoking area.

Urban, cosy with a modern touch - that's the Orgler's Restaurant in the centre of Kaprun. We only cook with the best ingredients, but serve without bells and whistles. Whether for a large appetite or delicious snacks to tide you over - everyone finds some
Dined with my family here. Though the restaurant was quite full, there was only one hostess running around like crazy. This resulted in hasted service, not really warm feeling. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, and the food and wine were awesome. Recommend coming here when it's not high-season. Ordered some glasses of wine, but had to pay more, probably cause we received more, this could have been communicated better. The wait was quite long, but the food made up for it. Though a bit more would have been nice, especially when you have had a long day skiing and are pretty hungry.

Well...we were after some Austrian food after some slope time...so we came here, both at lunchtime for some schnitzel and for the pork knuckle in the evening! On both occasions we could not fault the food or service! All in all...beer good...food good...service good...price good...what more do you need from a restaurant!!If you are a fan of a big chunk of tasty meat try the pork knuckle!!

We have the best view, cold beer, honest home-cooked food and stunning hiking trails all around - come visit us!
This place is unpretencious, and welcoming, the staff are very friendly, and the food is home made. Decour is lots of warm wood and charming, there is an atmosphere like a softly bubbling brook, very pleasant, menu choice varies, food is good, but the wines are questionable, Hope this has been of some help for you...

We arrived close to 10 pm and I was almost sure the kitchen will be closed. Luckily we got served with a classic, good schnitzel, so we were saved from starving after a full day's drive. The food is not exquisite, but is tasty and fresh and very typical Austrian.

The Dorfkrug Restaurant is housed in a charming Austrian house a few minutes walk from the centre of Kaprun. The popularity of the restaurant sees tourists and locals flock to dinner here every evening. The comfortable and traditional interior is stylish and welcoming to tourists and locals. Reservations are a must to avoid disappointment. The menu is well priced and offers the best in Austrian cuisine with a wide range of meat and fish dishes to satisfy all tastes. Portions are generous and delicious with a good wine list and table service provided by an enthusiastic team of young waiters and the lovely Tine, who was particularly friendly and whose good English was a big help in this most Austrian resort. Two sittings at 6pm and 8pm for dinner enables the Dorfkrug team to deliver great service at this popular dining spot. We'll be back ! Hello Mr./s. Mc Kenzie, thank you so much for your lovely words and your great report! We are very happy and thankful for that. We hope to see you soon back at the Dorfkrug Kaprun. Kind regards from the hole Team!

Very disappointing meal. We were hungry leaving restaurant due to stingy amounts of food. â¬130 for a meal for 2 children & 1 adult, for 3 mains, water & 2 glasses of wine. I ordered steak. Got 3 mouthfuls. Rest was bone and gristle. Pepper sauce and chips/potatoes cost extra. Chips (really crisps) were burnt and greasy. Had to send back. In place got soggy over done potato. Surprised at ratings it gets. Also at prices. Wonât be returning!!

We were at the restaurant for the dinner. Lamb was quite average, but the veal was awful. The interior was very general. It is very ordinary restaurant and nothing special. Definitely not the best in Kaprun

This is a must go too âbucket listâ venue for dinner. Yes, the apres ski party is lively early evening but the management close the Restaurant from 6pm and make it nice and cosy for dinner at 7:30 and wow what a dinner experience. Book early.
