The way to one's heart is through the stomach. Our cafe and restaurant, the "Milchbar", has made quite a name for itself over the last 40 years. It's a place where Tyrolean products meet recipes we have discovered in a variety of countries and continents.
The outside and inside of the building looks Cody and really Austrian. The personnel is very sweet and helpful. The Kaiserschmarn were the best I had this holiday. The chicken my girlfriend had were also tasteful, same for the fries. Cappuccino was a little less tasteful same for all the flies in the restaurant.
Our lovingly decorated restaurants and lounges are ideal for getting away from everyday stress. In fine weather, you can also dine on our sun terrace or enjoy our ice cream variations.
My father-in-law has been banging on about how good the lasagne is at this place for years. His claim...'It's the best in the world.'And so, even though we were staying in a perfectly good village, with perfectly good restaurants,15km away, we piled in the car and drove to Fugen. The restaurant was busy and we didn't have a reservation so were lucky they could fit us in. In hindsight we should have reserved, but my father-in-law couldn't remember the actual name of the restaurant. To be honest, the lasagne was very good (maybe not world-beating), but it was very pleasant indeed. We had a selection of ice cream deserts which were ok...fairly standard for Austria - lots of sweet sauces and whipped cream. The decor is traditional and getting a little tired. The place could probably do with a refurb. The staff were helpful and attentive. Overall good, but not very good.

While we enjoyed eating at traditional restaurants in Mayrhofen, for a vegetarian especially, Goldkind was such a delight. Modern cuisine with fresh ingredients - just delightful. We came here more than once. The burgers were fab, coffee and cakes also amazing. Had we been staying longer we would undoubtedly have returned again. Friendly service. Highly recommended.

We stayed in the camping Hell apartments and had dinner at the restaurant twice. Food and service are both very good! Good prices also. Ask to be seated in the non smoking area if you don't smoke. Also the restaurant is not open for lunch - breakfast and dinner only.Thank you! Just for information the whole restaurant is non smoking now. In summer we also serve lunch....

As we were staying at an aparthotel, we spent the Christmas Eve in the restaurant of this very nice hotel. Everything was very good: the food, the service, the atmosphere. They even had prepared small gifts for the children. Our 5-year old boy was very happy with the small toy he received.

Steak was nice - but Wiener Schnitzel was pork based only. Roastbeef was ok. Salad would need improvement - canned carrots are so last century for salads...Staff was not rude but also not particularly friendly. Plus: reasonably Austrian style interior. Ok- ish restaurant but that little extra was missing. We were there on the 25th based on a recommendation we were hoping for a more festive athmosphere.
