I have been in this brand new restaurant to taste this new food concept. It was amazing experience. The food is prpared like you get at your home...some story.....the pampinks soup is exaclty the same that my grandmother usually prepare for me. Some other plates are prepared to offer a new experience as you have at your house. Good fish and good meat. All the ingrdients are always fresh and daily prepared. Very Very good. Enjoy !

The restaurant Fischerhaeusl was reopened on the 24th of april. Since we are trying to recreate the austrian kitchen in a modern way. It's based on a young team that has the knowledge to offer our costumers a full experience. The main focus of attention i
Across the bridge from the city centre but quite easy to find. Just underneath the new town hall. Very friendly and helpful staff. We went as a group and they had no problems with splitting the bill. We had the pork knuckle and the beef brisket and they were both delicious. The pork was tender and the crackling just as it should be - nice and crisp without being at all salty. Not many places can do this The brisket was served on a bed of pea purée which went well with the broad beans and the strawberries. Good choice of beers and soft drinks too A very delicious meal and with good prices to match! What more can you ask for?Hello Sharon, thank you so much for your rating. We love it, when people are leaving our place happy. Because at the end of the day, our job is to let the customers go happy and stuffed. :)Hope to see you soon. All the best and kind regards, the fischerhäusl team

Perhaps we were spoiled during our previous dinner out (Zaffran) whereby the service was first-rate: combined with excellent food. I'm still kind of at odds on how to rate Promenadenhof. First off - the restaurant itself is quite beautiful and laid-out in different sections. And very busy. For a Tuesday night we were surprised just how busy. Food was hit and miss for the most part. My pork 'tomahawk steak' dish was very good. My wife's Zander dish was problematic and frustrating for her as there were quite a lot of bones she had to continually pick out. This was unusual for us here in Europe. The dessert however was a hit. After watching various tables receive their desserts we decided upon the "Karusell" - a small tasting of various offerings. All were fantastic. The service? HmmmmmmNot sure how to put my finger on it. We've been traveling through Europe quite a few times since 2009 and are aware of the differences between service expectations in North America versus here. Service here can sometimes be misconstrued by travelers from NA as aloof and ambivalent. Not taking into consideration that servers here, while they do receive some form of tip - they don't rely on it as necessarily part of their wage (as they do in NA). Therefore they are not OVERLY attentive (aka hustling for that 20% gratuity) and keen for a high turnover. That all being said...Both my wife and I couldn't help feeling the service here was lacking. And I couldn't shake the feeling that our server just didn't like/respect us. Particularly when he added another 2⬠to his more than ample gratuity. Bill was 73â¬Gave him 100⬠and asked him to make it 78â¬He gave me 20⬠and walked awaySad and funny all at once. However I wasn't prepared to make a scene over 2â¬. In the end we walked out feeling like our business wasn't particularly appreciated by the staff - apart from the hostess who was friendly and accommodating - which is somewhat you never want as a restaurateur. I have NEVER said this before but perhaps if you're a local it's a different experience Too bad

RAUNER - that means beetroot in our local dialect and is the name of our restaurant. A place that is meant to welcome everybody! Straightforward, rooted in local tradition with a contemporary twist, but with the highest quality standards - that's our rest
We were here on a business dinner.I had beef and as a dessert I had some mousse au chocolat. The food was really good, we enjoyed it a lot. We will return, highly recommended.

We just stopped in for a beer, as alas, it was not mealtime. This looked like a charming place with picture windows providing a pretty view of Linz down below. We were entertained by a young mother chasing her free-spirit two-year old all around the room for the entire time. Charming.
