I went here with my Mum and my husband, it is immediately charming when you step in the door. It was about 5:30 pm in the middle of winter and was warm inside and full of people. We sat upstairs and our waitress was so friendly and lovely - my husband doesn't speak German but she managed to get across which beer was best without me or my Mum helping any! The meat dishes that we ordered looked amazing (I'm vegetarian), although the meat that came in specialty of the house, the Pfandl, was a bit dry. Portions were very big! My vegetarian option of vegetables with potato cakes (like hash browns) and sour cream was ok, some of the vegetables were out of a frozen packet (understandable in the middle of winter), and a bit rubbery. Honestly I would have preferred some 'in season' vegetables - cabbage, winter salad, beetroot... there are enough I think! This place is just down the road from where my Mum lives so we will definitely be back...I hear the cakes are amazing!
Wir waren mit allem sehr zufrieden. Alles passt hier perfekt.

A week golfing in Salzburg region we stay in this small hotel. Their restaurant deserves a special evaluation.Restaurant is not big; especially the outside space is very nice. Wooden tables with comfortable benches are situated in a very nice garden with patulous chestnut trees, summerhouse covered by ivy. Joung and helpful staff wear usually traditional costume, they are very popular. It is nice and charming. Owners of this nice hotel come to greet their guests daily. Restaurant was full every afternoon and evening, majority of guests were groups of locals, joung, older, families. It is usually good sign of quality. Kids can use spacious part of garden with climbing frames. Hotel with his restaurant is situated outside of the town, close to the championship golf course Salzburg â Eugendorf. My husband and I were guests of hotel with half board pension. We and other hotel guests had every day a tables prepared for menu diner. Every evening we had a private menu card prepared for us on the table. I am vegetarian and it was no problem for the staff to prepare vegetarian dishes for me separately, even I was the only one. Menu usually consisted from 6 to 8 courses. All together it looked as a menu degustational in some great restaurant. Use of regional and seasonal products was self â evident. Everything was very tasty and nice presented. The only two slightly negative comments: portions were too big and cook like salt more than me (maybe he got a new sort of salt and was not familiar with it?)It is great place with excellent food. They were in the Michelin restaurant guide at 2009 according to the sticker on the door. I think the Michelin evaluators should return back and renew their recommendation.

Came here for dinner with our travel group. The place is a farm with their own small beer brewery. The dinner was true austrian food that came with soup, spare rib and chicken, dessert and yes drinks including their own brewed beer. The place was very nice, their family member was serving the food which was excellent and the beer were very good to the last drop. There was also entertainment, a violinist playing familiar tune from you guess, the sound of music. All in all a night to remember while visiting Salzburg. Just note that this is not in the town center but it was worth it.

Stayed here on a recent business trip and was thoroughly impressed. The hotel is actually an old monastery and this is reflected in the decor, the bedrooms are actually the monks old cells! All of the staff are friendly and very helpful. The most outstanding thing for me though was the food, served in different rooms at different times of day, it is just outstanding and very good value.

The Gasthof Alpenblick is one of Austria's greatest Gasthof's. It is situated almost at the end of a long road up the mountain, and at times you cannot help but wonder if you are on the right road. Stick with it and it will be very well worth it. The view is the first thing that stuns you, it is spectacular from the patio and all windows facing the valley. The welcome you receive is second to none. The food is top quality and the entertainment is first class. All the family play musical instruments, and they welcome you to bring your musical instrument and play along. We were there only for one evening, and I could have easily stayed there a week. The food is traditional Austrian, they serve quality wine and beer. The building again is traditionally Austrian. The family who own and run it are really very nice people, they struggle but try so hard to speak our language, all in all we had a 1st class evening with exceptionally good food.I want to return here and stay a week or maybe more.100% recommended if you are in the Salzburg area.Richard Kaminski.

This comfortable castle hotel grew out of an original âimperial tavernâ on the lake. The cuisine grew out of regional products and organic produce.
I stayed in September 2011 , the weather was very nice and while I worked in a nearby city she enjoyd the lake and walked around. The breakfast is excellent

Need to check out this lovely, really local, non touristic restaurant. All fresh stuff, friendly service and so traditional.

Enjoy life, where it is most beautiful. The special place for your wonderful breakfast, wedding or celebration. Enjoy the beautiful views and indulge yourself.
Our second time here after a year, nothing have changed. I don't doubt the kitchen is good or the meal is great, average or nice, but service is slow, too crowded, we ordered for a Cappuccino and the had none, no Apfelstrudel, nothing. I don't know what they had because we left.

I am a guest at this location for almost 35 years and is was always very pleasent to stay here. Quality of food has improved very much over the years and this is my favourite place in this area. If you are lucky there is a catch of the day from one of the surrounding lakes, perch, pike, perchpike purely anke. In summer you can enjoy the cool terrasse. On Thursday people come here for marvellous spare ribs. Try the Most with this dish.
