..in the centre of town. Dorfkrug has been a favorite with regulars for 35 or 40 years, where good food is being served by jolly staff. Drinks are reasonably priced and wait times are usually short. The place rents rooms and apartments although have never stayed here.

We found this gem driving around and seen the sign and went to check it out. Decor very warm and relaxing. I had canederli and goulash and my partner sauerkraut and speck canederli, both of which were absolutely delicious and obviously homemade. We went back a 2nd time and plan on staying there. The owners were very kind and it shows they put pride in what they do.

Food not too bad. Owners/managers, however, seem to think that 30 years in the industry gives them the right to be rude and arrogant to their guests. Clearly then, 30 years in the industry doesn't correlate to developing a sense of customer service. Never again. There's plenty of better places to choose from.

Me and my wife had a dinner at the restaurant. We ordered Huisler Schnitzel and Käsespätzle. The portions were delicious. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant.

In two weeks we visited a good number of the restaurants in Fulpmes. We left this one to last as as a recommendation from the owner of the accomodation we were staying at.The food was definitely some of the best we enjoyed in the village and the staff were friendly and attentive. The only negative point which cost it one star was the fact that we were seated by the entrance to the second room used for dining. Just outside was a play area for the guests children staying at the property. The had some very noisy toys/games and the children were shouting an running around which brought the atmosphere down dramatically. Most of the staff closed the door every time they went in and out.

Great choice of regional, Austrian and International cusine combined with seasonal specialities. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Ate dinner at this restaurant within the Parkhotel in Matrei. The menu had local dishes. They have a lovely terrace at the back and a well stocked salad bar. I can highly recommend the Fiakergulasch. It was a lovely Gulash with bread dumplings and an extra sausage. The prices were very reasonable and they had a nice wine selection as well. The service was very friendly, even when busy. Mains starting at 10â¬.Thank you very much for your positive feedback! We appreciate that you have had a pleasent time at the Parkhotel Matrei and you have enjoyed our Fiakergulasch on our terrace! Here you enjoy... ... The best of traditional Austrian and Tyrolean cuisine. You can meet in our cosy, traditional and originally preserved wood-panelled "Stube" room or in the bright conservatory and get spoiled by our traditional, but exquisite cuisine.
I've been to the restaurant many times. The Wintergarten is just lovely. The food is tasty and very good. Try the Forelle Müllerin or any style of Saibling. Both fishes are cooked in an amazing way. Vety good beer and friendly service. The Hoferwirt is also the owner of the Tschangelair Alm, beside the Gletscher StraÃe. There, they have some very little lakes where Hoferwirt breed the trouts and the saiblingen in the water coming down from the fantastic Glacier. The fishes are faboulous and very fresh. The restaurant of the Hoferwirt is one of the best of the entire Stubay Valley.

We were a group of 21 staying here on a dinner b/b basis. The breakfast was fine, the usual mix of cold meats, cheese, cereals, yogurt and breads. Our evening meals were 4 courses, starting with a selection of salads, then soups (creamy usually and rather similar) then mains either fish, meat or veggie. Quality was fine really, not top notch but country fare and somedays better than others. Puddings were lovely too.No complaints except the flies buzzing round were a nuisance but you get that in the country.
