Whether dining indoors in our elegant dining room or enjoying lakeside dining on the veranda, the Aurora Inn is the best restaurant in the Finger Lakes region for waterfront dining and spectacular sunsets. Our award-winning, refined American cuisine is inspired by the changing seasons and fresh regional products and pairs perfectly with the many Finger Lakes wines on our list.Warm and welcoming with exquisite décor, our dining room combines traditional tables with intimate booths and banquettes—all topped by sparkling silver and crisp linen napkins. During cooler months, there is always a fire blazing on the hearth. The Aurora Inn Dining Room is a perfect place to celebrate special occasions—from intimate anniversary dinners to parties for up to 25 guests, we are prepared to make yours an event to remember. We can also accommodate larger events in our private Lakeside Room. Whatever the occasion, it will be remembered for fine cuisine, warm service and beautiful surroundings.
The interior design of the Aurora Inn is absolutely mesmerizing. The wallpaper, sconces, tables, and moldings are beyond spectacular. The food was dynamite. The steak was so tender-/ you didn’t even need a knife. The lakte was awesome. The fish was a little dry but the squid ink risotto made up for it. The berry cobbler was beyond great, especially since it had homemade vanilla ice cream on top. But I must send a shout out to Pleasant T Rowland for breathing life back into this historic inn. She is a blessing to us all.

So, we have passed the king ferry inn every year for 5 years. Every year I want to stop and check it out but every year we have a pet with us in the car so we just pass on by and watch it fade into the rear view mirror. This time we came back after bringing pet to the vacation house.
Just really cool architecture and old school bar. We also wandered around the restaurant after lunch (looks nice and cool place). It is actually a throwback hotel upstairs. I love places like this. Real food and good people.
Solid selection of beers from Pabst to Sierra. About 8 wines including Trelaven. All good! The highlight was lunch which was a Turkey club monster. Enormous but also not just big - very good, as well. Real Turkey and on homemade baked bread. I mean, it is easy to make a Turkey club but hard to make one that good. Wife is vegetarian and had egg salad and was AWESOME. Sides are interchangeable.
Full dinner on weekends and menu looks great for dinner.
These are the types of places I really love. Day crowd was plentiful and all good folks. Had a laugh with a few folks on the exit. Staff very nice and helpful. Thank you for a nice diversion for an afternoon beverage and sammy....see you thursday at 4:45!

Stopped for a leisurely lunch. The covered patio overlooks the vineyard. The service was pleasant and unhurried. Our mushroom soup was hot and full of flavor. My salmon dish and my wife's perch were perfectly prepared. Best meal we have had during our visit to the area. Would definitely recommend.

The Copper Oven's specialty is wood fired pizza. Our menu rotates monthly and relies on home grown and locally sourced ingredients. We promise you good food in a laid back and friendly environment. The Copper Oven is located at Cayuga Ridge Estate Winery, in the center of the Cayuga Wine Trail West in the Finger Lakes region.
If you love flavorful foods with local ingredients this is your place! Creative, healthy menu with great wines and several of their own or local beers. If Dominos is what you like, don't go here...their crust is thin and charred...pizzas include a buffalo chicken, funghi, and a summer bounty (shredded yellow and green squash). You won't find red sauce on any pizza but you can get a lovely tomato salad! Enjoy the friendly staff!

Casual food and atmosphere are the calling card of this charming restaurant and tavern, which is located directly across the street from the Aurora Inn. The chefs put their talents on display creating daily features that will impress everyone, from the most critical foodies to guests just looking for a great home-cooked meal. Take a turn playing pool or throwing horseshoes in the backyard pit.
While visiting our granddaughter who is a student at Wells College we had lunch at Fargo. The rueben sandwich was one of the better ones I have ever had. the rest of my family all had different choices and enjoyed them all. lunch ran about $15 a person, great decor and atmosphere.

Heard the food was very good, but we didn't have a chance to try it. Walked in an was second in line, waited 25 minutes with no one saying anything to us. They took the group (8) ahead of us, then asked us for our name and promptly told us we weren't on the list and it would be another 30 plus minutes. We were concerned that as unorganized and uncommunicative as they were we would never be served! We turned around and left.

Fresh Local Produce and Wines with a beautiful view in an 1820s farmhouse.
We'd become comfortably used to "Cookie" and her staff, as well as her diverse menu so we've been a little unsure about the transition to a new "take' on Pumpkin Hill. We were mostly happily surprised with our visit for dinner last night. The "mostly" has to do with the drinks: although there is a "full bar" the person(s) making the drinks didn't have training so my "Sweet Rob Roy on ice" was anything but and need a do-over with full explanation. The service was very good...very earnest although ultimately not well-paced. The two appetizers that 4 of us shared were excellent. The Proveleta with 4 slices of crispy bread and melted cheese with grilled tomatoes, garlic and olives on the side was very tasty. The Spicy Shrimp Roast was indeed spicy with a really nice sauce which needed more that the one slice of toast under the shrimp. All dinners, the salmon, ribeye steak, duck breast and Aurora cakes were wonderful and perfectly cooked. The ribeye was rare as ordered and very tender with a delicious sauce. The Aurora cakes will become a favorite in the future. We ordered 2 desserts; the Strawberry Shortcake and the Flourless Chocolate torte. Both had a wonderful amount of real whipped cream and were happily totally devoured. We plan on returning, probably for lunch to try out that menu. That is indeed the one fault we'd find; that the dinner menu is really pretty small with only six entrees although certainly you could make a nice meal with one of the appetizers and one of the salads. Certainly those six entrees cover the fish, fowl, meat and vegetarian options but it either needs a bit more variety or have different versions of each. Overall, the setting is very comfortable and the meals delicious.

It's rare now days to find a place to eat where they really care about service and home cooked food. The food here is delicious, freshly cooked as ordered, and the wait staff is very attentive. Country charm and location and added plus. We live nearby and will return for many more meals.
