You can see them hand make the pasta in the shop window so you know that the pasta here is going to be good. There isn't a lot of seating inside but they also have an outside area which has heating and more tables. The menu looks interesting as it looks like a hand made scrap book and there is a decent selection of pastas and other food inside. They also had specials in a bottle on the table. The service was quite good, being checked on a couple of times before ordering and a couple more afterwards. Had the zucchini carpaccio to share at the start. It didn't look like what I expected since the zuccini were in rolls instead of flat but it was really tasty with the balsamic and parmesan. I had the special potato, mushroom and truffle ravioli and it was delicious. The butter sauce with the pasta and creamy potato filling was just amazing. So simple and tasty. I also had the budino chocolate pudding and that was a bit different than what I had expected (more like a flan instead of a cake) but delicious nonetheless. A really good place if you are craving pasta. The only issue was that like other great pasta places, the portions are fairly small, I could easily devour two or three plates but it was almost $30 a plate. It also looked like you could buy some pasta to cook at home.

Archieâs was conveniently located right across the street from our apartment. Such a cozy ambience, love the scent of the wood fire oven when you enter the restaurant. We ordered the Prosciutto and Parmesan Bruschetta, Beef Carpaccio and Prosciutto Pizza. Every dish was HUGE! And oh so mouthwateringly delicious! The Chef recommended drizzling olive oil, balsamic vinegar and tobasco sauce over our beef carpaccio and it brought the dish to a whole new level! The pizza was Super yummy. The crust was just right, crispy around the edges with just enough depth and texture so it doesnât disintegrate when you lift it. We wiped our plates clean and had to be rolled out of the restaurant!Highly recommend for an amazing authentic Italian meal. Excellent value for money.

Popped in for lunch before 12 and was asked to make a booking at counter. Waited for about 6 minutes and the restaurant is open. Ordered Pappardelle with duck and pea ragu, it tastes nice, however a bit salty. Good service. Would Recommend!

We were meeting business contacts who chose the restaurant. It is an Italian restaurant with lots of different and unusual dishes I have not come across previously. I did have to ask about what some of the ingredients were . The waitress cheerfully explained them to . The main course was a torn Pasta with Duck was absolutely delicious. Both the Pasta the duck meat and the sauce were sensational. I also ordered a Tiramisu that was not a traditional Tiramisu but really delicious . I would happily return on my next visit to Auckland Thank you Evelynne! Now that you know where to find us we hope to seeing you another time soon!

Great food and ambience in Auckland. The place is hip and vibrant. Portion is great and interesting. The kitchen is totally open so you can see cooks preparing your meal.Pastries look better than they taste and is a bit on the expensive side. My son took us to the Prego for lunch. We had Gnocchi, Fettuccine Alfredo and Kingfish Pesce with wine. I had a best Fettuccine ever in NZ. Weâve been to many restaurants in Ponsonby area, where my sonâs couple loves. I think Prego is best in Ponsonby.
