Love the food here. Lovely people. We go here regularly. Spotlessly clean. Thoroughly recommend and well priced.

Has the expected range of sushi and hot meals to order. Very popular with all ages, including younger business people. We had range items we choose from shelf plus a hot teriyaki chicken. Everything was lovely and eaten with relish. It was recommended to us by a local business and they do a constant busy trade, especially around lunch time. There is takeaway and table service. Bill was $33 for two people and we had plenty to eat.

We went to Hayami on Saturday night.Meals where overpriced and very small, there was no sushi available because they had run out of rice, the bowls of rice served with our main meals where only half full and the Miso was like drinking water. My main - Salmon was $35.50 - three tiny thin pieces of salmon on a little bit of cabbage. We all know the price of salmon at the supermarket - they made a massive profit on my meal. All husbands main - Combination Tempura - 2 prawns, 1 piece each of carrot, pumpkin, potato and two green beans. $25.50.Menu states - Large consists of 13 pieces. Someone can't count. There were 4 adults and 2 children and all meals where small and expensive. The total bill was $375.00 (yes we did have a drink each and the 2 men had x3 beers and the kids had an apple juice each. Went home hungry I would not recommend Hayami Restaurant Orewa to anyone.Overpriced and underwhelmed. The small amount of food that we did have was lovely, can't fault them there. Service was ok however, we got the impression that the sooner we left, the soonerthey could close.

RAMEN TAKARA is not your typical Japanese restaurant, instead of featuring tempura or sushi, we put our heart and effort into our ramen and rice dishes. We even make our own noodles everyday using the finest flour, mineral water and fresh eggs. Whether yo
Weâve been on a mission to find the best tonkotsu ramen in NZ and so far Ramen Takara is it. The thick and curly noodles are the way to go. So so so good

The friendly smiling service and simple atmosphere of this Japanese sushi and coffee place attracted me. The sushi is fresh and presented attractively. As itâs only open later in the week for dinner I returned for breakfast and had a good coffee and substantial warm fresh delicious cheese scone.
I love this restaurant-the lady serving us was everything you hope a restaurant professional will be: she was smiling, she made time to give us information and help us choose, she was kind and she made the experience wonderful. The food was wonderful: they have an incredible variety of sushi and other dishes too. Using avocados in sushi is genius and delicious and there are options to enjoy that combination. Love seafood? There are sushi types for that too. On a gluten free diet? This lady is fully aware of the ingredients of all the foods and exactly what you need to look out for while on a gluten free diet. If there is something you cannot enjoy because of a detail, just let them know before your next visit and they offer to tailor it to your needs. This place is a foodie's dream. Will return-and do recommend it.
Best take away sushi in the vicinity - fresh and tasty! It's a pick & mix that you choose yourself & pay per piece.Nice staff, been there for years. Its in the food court so it's not a place to set out as such. Yum yum.
