The Villa Maria Auckland Winery, Vineyard Café & Cellar Door is open 7 days, serving delicious food and wines. Enjoy a glass of Villa Maria wine on the terrace which overlooks the Ihumatao vineyard, and share a platter or have lunch.
We lunched at Villa Maria Winery in February for a 60th birthday and again in March for a 70th birthday. The second time it was extremely busy because there was a massive marquee set up right next to the restaurant, with a big conference happening, but considering that, the service was still pretty much up to speed as on other visits. The food is always lovely here but it is definitely one of those places that goes for the flash looking food display over quantity, and meals are made dearer by having to purchase a salad or vegetables as a separate item. I know plenty of people who have been caught out on their first visit there, ordering their meal and expecting that it will be the norm of a full meal (vegetables with it, not a separate purchase). The staff are always lovely and accommodating :-)

Thanks to it's location just 5 minutes from Auckland Airport, Post Office has a truly eclectic set of locals. Post Office is perfect for all occasions, but especially after work drinks and food. We have a brand new menu with exciting gastro home made food
Come again dined here for dinner in New Year to relieve the craving I've had all week for chicken dish. But its Terrible. We ordered some starter and Beef quesdillas lamb shanks .Whenever we dine here we feel that the service is usually okay and food was good with big portions which is one of the main reasons we go there every now and then. However, that was not the case last night.Firstly, table is sticky .it seemed that the staff were confused among themselves; we were led to our table by the staff at the counter, a waitress came and took our order, another waiter came and told us that she'll be looking after our table, and once we were done with our meal, a different waiter came to clear our table. Maybe it's how their system is run, but it made us feel as though we were not being properly looked after. Now back to the food.we waiting for half hour got the food .Before just 10 mins. And the food is lack of seasoning.I dont know what happen . Maybe they change the owner or chef ?The lamb wasn't even as tender as they should be, and the amount of mashed potato served with the lamb was terrible. The beef quesdillas were alright - nothing fancy. What a big disappointment! I thought Toby Jug INN is known to "provide quality with quantity" which was far from the reality that hit us big time on our face. We've actually asked the waitress about the quantity of each dish before ordering and she was pretty confident that they would be filling. Quality? Could be better, and quantity? Who are we kidding? We had to come home and cook ourselves a meal to satisfy our hunger after paying from dining out. What a waste of money and time. I usually don't like ranting negatively about a place, but just felt the need to put it out there with an honest review. Not going back to this branch again out of choice for sure.
Make sure you order a Sierra Sunrise juice. (Orange, apple, pineapple and lemon). Best ever. You can also just order toast and jams/honey etc. A light breakfast is all you need when you are travelling and eating out every day.

We are a unique European Japanese fusion fine dining in Auckland.
Lovely atmosphere, attentive service.Food was very very good.Chef's creativity is to be praised. All too often food is"over doctored" and flavours are a rather pedestrian combination of sugar, fat and salt. Not here.Food for the sophisticated palate.Wine selection could improve

Visited on Tuesday quiz night. Great atmosphere. Been here previous week too. Tuesday night was Burgers for $15 night --- 3 types of Burgers on menu all similar priced. Ordered 2 Honky-tonk Burgers and 1 crispy chicken burger. Was charged full price for the Honky-tonk. Disappointed as was never informed about not being on special --- should have been informed especially on Burger evening when advertised $15 Burger.
