The staff were, and tried to be helpful and the venue was child-friendly. The food was a unusual arrangement of "something" on bread. Lamb-burger, beef-burger, chicken-burger or the daily special was Ham Roll on bread. There was a all-day breakfast but very little for non-bread lovers and the bread was commercial style buns etc. There was plenty of parking but overall I thought it was sad and wondered how they balance the till against expenses.

Hungry Elephant Real-food Cafe, Organic store and Eco-gift Shop. Cabinet food and Salads, Pizza Vegetarian Vegan, big range of G.F and Dairy-free options. G.F, Dairy-free and Raw treats/sweets. Fresh produce, Organic Grocery, Gifts, Eco-Store ... Organic
Lovely atmosphere in both cafe and well-stocked shop. The vegan salads I had were beautiful. Fresh, healthy food can be enjoyed in a lush, green garden with abundant flowers and a running stream...it doesnât get more relaxing than this. Excellent spot for a break on a road trip or an otherwise busy day. Good parking opportunities as well.

Well located between Auckland and Whangarei, for a food, drink or toilet break. Also, if you want to take the 'Dome Forest Walkway'. We did this but wouldn't recommend it. It took about an hour and the views were not very good, sparse and through trees. The restaurant was friendly and offered good coffee. And toilets.
Visiting Warkworth? Go 7km further and call in at the Top of the Dome Cafe and while you are there take the short Bush walk to a splendid lookout as we did ..and then come back to this very nice roadside cafe for some friendly hospitality and great food, with a wide range of cakes, snacks and warning cups of coffee or hot soup. Plenty of parking just off State Highway One right outside the cafe and really decent toilets. Plenty of tables for a group of friends as we discovered after our hike to sit and chat and enjoy the views from this wonderful friendly cafe . The atmosphere here was a lot like being treated like a regular yet for most of my friends it was their first time. Combine a visit here with a 4 hour return visit to a nearby kauri tree grove with good views and end up at the cafe after as your reward for a fab day of a scenic drive from Auckland and some exercise and end with culinary delights in the Top of the Dome cafe. We loved this place..hope you too..

Located 1 hour north of Auckland
Fast and friendly service. Nice coffee and ginger slice. Perfect for a quick coffee stop. Good parking just down the road a little by the river.

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT - 5 AUGUST 2017: We are excited to revitalise Cafe Sandspit, an absolutely amazing, little cafe, that offers spectacular views over the Hauraki Gulf. Situated at Sandspit Wharf, we are conveniently located to Kawau Cruises, so drop in
On the tip of Sandspit next to the wharf sits this café. The large windows face out to sea and you can watch the gannets diving and the boats coming and going. The fish of the day was snapper that had been caught that morning so lunch was an easy choice. Mind you the other choices on the menu did provide some hesitation. We were not disappointed. Lunch was yummy and we stretched to share an apple pie to follow. The pastry was excellent and filling very good. The café was comfortable and roomy with free newspapers. A nice place to spend time and watch the world go by.

The Kumara Hash, French toast and coffee is always amazing. They have options available for many different dietary requirements which is always useful. The staff are always friendly and the relaxed, welcoming environment makes it such a nice place to meet for lunch or a coffee.

In a brand new spacious and comfortable atmosphere, So French offers all sort of French delicacies. Either on the spot or on takeaway, you will find coffee, soupe du jour, lunch, French viennese, French cheeses, home baked breads, sandwiches, real tasty h
We visited this cafe in February which staying in nearby Brown's Bay. I'm from Christchurch, have my main home in Sydney but also have a home in the South of France. I am there 4 months each year and I like to call it 'home'. This coffee shop is not French IMHO, and I stand by that following this visitBonjour Albywon, thanks for your feedback! Please let us know what would make So French more French than French owners, more than half the staff being French, French recipes, French imported goods, French background music, French books to read, French wines and cider, French designer lighting, even the furniture has been made by a French builder... But as you have a house in South of France you sure have some expertise in the matter... Leaving a bad review on social media, almost 3 months after your visit, for absolutely no genuine reason related to the food, coffee, services the business you are reviewing is offering, putting this business overall online rating down and harming it in the process is quite petty and pretty pathetic, IMHO...

Our favourite cafe while we were camping at Martin's Bay. The food was good quality. Selection of cabinet as well as menu. Coffee was top notch. Cottage garden surroundings peaceful. Peanut butter (made on site) is a winner. Buy a jar to take away. Prices are very reasonable. Staff v. friendly.

Award Winning cafeteria and chocolaterie. A Kiwi styled menu, just like our nanas used to bake: home-made cabinet food and specialty drinks. Next door in the Chocolaterie are hand-made chocolates, British sweets, Dutch licorice, Kiwi lollies, and gourmet
The speed of customer turnover and the numbers inside are the start of a good experience. This place is busy but the wait is short and the staff very friendly. We stopped for a bite to eat and a coffee, both exceeded expectations. Espresso was just right and if anything shows up a barista, its a poorly drawn espresso in a cold or large cup. This place has baristas that know their job and deliver a great product. They would teach a few other places!Good range of food and for the GF eaters, plenty to choose from.Woo Hoo! Thanks so much for the feedback, it's great to know that the hard work and training and coaching is working. I'll pass your comments onto the team. We really appreciate your feedback, and your lovely rating - pop in and make yourselves known next time - we love to make new friends! Susan
