Spetses (Modern Greek: Σπέτσες, Katharevousa: Σπέτσαι, Spetsai, Ancient: Πιτυούσσα, "Pityoussa") is an affluent island and a municipality in the Islands regional unit, Attica, Greece. It is sometimes included as one of the Saronic Islands. Until 1948, it was part of the old prefecture of Argolidocorinthia, which is now split into Argolis and Corinthia. In ancient times, it was known as Pityoussa, and later as Petses.

We dined here 6th September as guests of Mr Gerasimos Telis. He promised the best meat restaurant on the island and that's certainly what it felt and tasted like. The setting is certainly 'off the beaten track' which only adds to the ambience. The restaurant seems to have an air of both rustic charm and sophistication. Service was prompt, friendly and polite and as we were eating early, the chef/owner had time to come and chat. For starters we chose a range of wonderful small dishes to share, and followed those with lamb chops and veal. The meat was cooked to perfection, and many of the herbs, spices and vegetables used were in the garden alongside our table. As the evening wore on, the yachting 'in crowd' gradually came in, so clearly the well-connected know where to dine on Spetses. All-in-all, a fantastic evening and I highly recommend this restaurant. Truly delicious food.

We were a company of 6 so we had the chance to order a variety of the restaurant dishes. The greek salad and the chips were good, but all the rest were well below the average. Pork gyros was indifferent, chicken gyros was tasteless (at best) and beef kebab was dry with bad taste. Service was fast but totally impersonal. I wouldn't recommend this place to visitors, although its location is convenient and attractive.

Traditional greek gyros with souvlaki, with quality meat, and virgin products it's a must. Also for two people, you can pay for 10-15â¬, and feel full. Family business, nice people that treat you as their best customer everytime
