We stayed for two nights whilst walking the Camino Norte. We chose Ribedasella as our rest day, and what a good choice. We had a lovely room in a friendly, hospitable hotel on the edge of a lovely little town with easy walking distance to both the old and new towns. The hotel inside has a boutique style. It's modern in a Spanish way in an older building, very well maintained with quality furniture and bedding. Breakfast was excellent, cooked to order with plenty of choice and served very quickly. We loved having time to graze in such pleasant surroundings on our rest day.

Hotel Villadesella is a typical Asturian country house, set 1km from the popular town of Ribadesella. It has an outdoor swimming pool set in large gardens. The hotel building dates from the 19th century. It has been restored with natural stone and wood. It has comfortable public lounge areas and a bar. The restaurant serves typical regional food and local wines. Rooms at the Villadesella Hotel all have a balcony, with wonderful views of the countryside and beach. They also have a TV and a stylish en suite bathroom.Santa Marina Beach is just 500 metres from the hotel. There is also good access to the A-8 motorway, 3km away. Free private parking is available on site.
We went for a weekend getaway, and booked the superior double room for two nights for 303€. We are both tall, and we could not fit in the shower at all, the room said sea views which we didnt get, and we asked for a double bed, and it was only when we arrived and we asked about that, we were told by the receptionist that they didnt have it and nothing could be done. We had to secure a room in a different hotel as we could not even shower there. Finally the next morning the director of the hotel fixed the situation and we were given another room that was properly equipped. That worked ok and we were able to stay, but we lost the 200€ spent in the second hotel we had to book. The hotel is average, not worth the price! Breakfast is generous but poor quality.

We stayed at this hotel in the off season so it was very quite, but the owners and staff went out of their way to help us. The lady had a bit of English which was helpful. We did not eat at the restaurant, but the breakfast was very nice.

Gracias Juan I.!

Staff were very friendly and helpful on email before arriving at the apartment. The self check-in was easy and very practical. The location is superb - close to restaurants and the town centre. But... The apartment (01) was extremely lacking in basic stuff. The kitchen was not "fully-equipped". There weren't any cups!! There was no drying cloth for washing up. There wasn't any draining board. The kitchen was very poor indeed. The wardrobe didn't have any coat hangers. The bathroom was a "wet room" but the water did not drain because of the poor design of the floor. Everything remained wet for several days and it was dangerously slippery. There wasn't even any hooks to hang towels. I cannot ever recommend apartment 01 because it doesn't even offer the basic facilities. It's very disappointing because Aviles deserves to be visited but locations like Suite 1907 must liaise with the Asturias tourist team so that they learn how to understand the needs of the guest. The apartment room seemed to be designed and set up by someone without any idea of what a tourist actually wants.

2 star hotel, in Asturias, in the rural area of Luanco, between the beaches of Banugues and Verdicio. Recently renovated and with a more welcoming air, it has 14 double rooms, all exterior, with private bathroom, heating, television and wifi. Terrace, lounge-bar and restaurant, the hotel starts a new course offering a quality service focused on organic and proximity products.
10 estrellas en todo. Desayunos, comidas y cenas espectaculares. Habitaciones muy acogedoras y todo muy limpio. Los dueños lo mejor, atentos al 100x100 y superamigables. Me sentí como en casa. Mil gracias repetiré sin duda

Our three-bedroom apartment was beautiful and spacious. The views of the mountains and small village below were stunning. We were able to enjoy the view from all the rooms, as well as the terrace outside. The seating, both inside and out, is comfortable, as are the beds (hard like I prefer them). The bathrooms were spotless, and the shower had two heads and plenty of water pressure. Wifi was good. The young man who welcomed us and checked us out was extremely friendly and helpful. He is not there all the time, but he can be reached by phone. It was very quiet. If you are interested in cooking, please note there is no oven, but otherwise, the kitchen is well equipped. There is a combination lock, which we found a bit tricky. You have to remember to lock the door when you leave. If you have trouble either locking or unlocking the door, just keep trying -- slowly, faster, eventually it will work. Just don't panic! It took about a half hour to drive up to Covadonga Lakes where the hiking was superb. The roads to get there are narrow, but they are in excellent condition and there is room for two cars to pass, just barely. We loved everything about this place and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I can't say enough about how welcoming and nice the staff were at this hotel. It's a small boutique hotel that is kept in good condition, the downstairs area has a bar/restaurant which is nice as they offer food for pilgrims. The room was small but comfortable. The meals for the pilgrims was a three course meal and was a very welcome after a long and wet day of walking. There was a language barrier, the staff speak middling to basic English, but that isn't much of a problem.
