Hubby and I came here for our celebratory dinner. We were given a menu in English thankfully as itâs quite complex! The portions are huge, one starter between us would have been more than enough! Hubby had fois gras toasts with air dried beef - delicious. I had the fried king prawns with potatoes. I just ate the prawns, it was all too much with mountains of potatoes. Hubbyâs main course was beef âchopâ almost a kilogram of beef, beautifully tender and tasty - he had to send it back for a little more cooking, but this was done quickly and courteously. I had the duck, again, a huge portion and served very pink - but I like it like that! Sadly, I just couldnât manage it all.The bill came and I was a little disappointed to see that we had been charged for the bread that was served on arrival, and the tap water we asked for had also been charged - it may have been mineral water though!The waiter had been lovely and helpful throughout!There was also a 10% service charge added! I like to choose whether I tip, so never happy with this practice.So not a 5 rating, but almost!Dear Stirlimg;Thank you for your comment, and for the positive opinion of our work.I wanted to clarify, if you allow me, the tip.towards the end of the invoice, a summary is made of the part that belongs to the restaurant, and the 10% that is paid as a tax to the state. That 10% is already included in the prices and is not added again, it is only informative so that the client knows exactly the amount of the tax.If you did not leave coins in the account tray, there was no tip for the waiter, but we are happy because you enjoyed the dinner.thank you very much again :))

In late September, we seemed to be the only tourists at Pena Mar restaurant, although judging by the spacious dining room, it expects to cater for bigger crowds in the main holiday season. We were shown into a more intimate seating area, by the Parilla. This felt extremely local and it had a really good ambience. We have never forgotten our meal there, as the quality of the food was really good. This is not haute cuisine, it is earthy fare - cooked to perfection and served directly off the grill. My husband has still not recovered from the sheer enormity of the beef chop he had!A tasty and very reasonably priced dinner.

Small bar with simple and typical menu. Few small tables on the pavement. My experience was nothing special; was charged 2.5euro for small glass of rioja and 14 for racion of pulpa. Bread extra. They do give a free Pincho with your drink-e.g. small piece of tortilla. Wouldn't return

This is simply an amazing place. Everything is good (meat, fish, seafood, desserts, ...) and the wine selection is quite ample while keeping a low price. Casa Pepe (or O Piano, as it's also known) is my favourite place in Ribadeo. The salpicon is out of this world and we alternate between the deliciously fresh fish and outstanding steaks. It has a beautiful view of the harbour and the service is top class. Can't wait for the summer!
A small restaurant at the first floor of a bar with a little shop... I went with my family and the food was spectacular. First a octopus with potatoes... incredible, you will never eat something similar. Hake for the second, very nice. You will have to do a reservation for the octopus. It's mostty about meet. It's the typical Asturian restaurant with mostly meet (fresh and not very expensive) The atmosphere is not very good but could be one the biggest in A Veiga-Vegadeo.

We had the 15⬠fixed menu that started with an insane amount of Fabadas Asturianas. Delicioso! Followed by the ternera asada, also too large a serving, then desert. The house wine really is their own bottling. Great fun!
