Imagine a village, which is not a village, because it has less houses than what people call a village, so 4......imagine being hungry and having google maps as your only guide, ending up at Casa Anton...it is actually a restaurant, with people, almost all Spanish, they know why..........Truly Asturian food, at great prices, made by mother and her mother and her mother, the absolute best of the best......and you notice, after a meal, you will probably never return there because simply.......you would not find it anymore....but Cuerres is the place and google maps can find anything......I loved it.

Tuesday 28 May, Dinner. We are the only 2 diners. Starter of clams (almejas) - Euro 28. Main of 'kingfish' (Rey) - Euro 72.As with the Emperors New Clothes, a reality check is needed here. This is crude un-adorned cooking being sold at grossly inflated prices. One example of a far better bet is Sibariz where you get refined cuisine at less cost.

Hard to belive, that in such a modest village, close to Ribadesella, you can find so great eatery, fulfilling all possible expectations: nice surroundings, tasteful decor, exceptional menu and perfect service.Pity, having only lunch visit experience, because the dinner would be even more impressive and memorable. The monk fish, we ordered was absolutely perfect and the dessert, candied figs with ice cream, hard to beat. The green, lush garden and fields around are unforgettable and the visiting the caves around, good target before the meal.

Yet another restaurant that is closed when advertised as open. I am not sure if this is a problem with Tripadvisor or the venue. We have travelled to get here and was looking forward to eating after reading the review. We are tired and needed a hug rest although we now have to travel back (45 minutes). Not particularly happy.

We visited after a recommendation. We had their house special Cachopo which was both enormous and delicious. Do not be tempted to order any other menu items (though they are tempting), the 2 of us could not finish it. We also enjoyed Asturias cider, poured traditionally. Our waiter didn't speak English but we managed. We left a generous tip, highly recommend!

En temporada baja nos vamos a descansar para que la nueva temporada nos encontréis con nuestra sonrisa. ¡¡¡Nos vemos en el 2019!!!
Galician-born owner emigrated to London several decades ago and now runs his place with pride and lots of people-skills.His son runs the kitchen and doughter-in-law the tables. If you happen to be in the area you should not miss this place where you will feel welcomed at once.Menu includes the house-wine but you may prefer the winelist.

We decided on the tasting menu, with wine flight. The sommelier knew his trade and matched some very interesting wines with each course, the waiter also explained each course as we went along. There is purpose and passion here and it reflects in all that they aspire to. Compared to other starred places we have been to, this one is reasonably priced and worthy of its rating.

This restaurant is situated in the Hotel Villadasella on the outskirts of town and we ate here twice during our recent stay. The food and presentation was excellent and we had two very enjoyable dinners. There is an a la carte menu and also a three course table d'hote which includes bread, water and wine for 22⬠each. We ate each time from the table d'hote menu, the selection is very good and there are four choices for each course. We thought the food exceptional and was without doubt the best we had during our stay in the area. Service throughout the meal was friendly and attentive and it was pleasant sitting in the restaurant with views overlooking the beach and town, would definitely recommend.

We were looking for a place to eat nice traditional Asturian lunch around Ribadesella. This place is 3.5km drive from the city center of Ribadesella, but oh so worth it.Calm, rural area, super friendly staff, great food.We shared "croquetas", "tortos con adobo, huevo y cabrales" and "cachopo". Everything was fresh and delicious.Cachopo is a star dish & it is huge! Desserts looked very good but we were full.Prices are reasonable for what you get. There is a small parking area near by & playground for kids.If you wish to enjoy your meal in a calm local Asturian cider house - El Texu is 100% recommended. If in this área again, will definitely come back to try their BBQ.
