Casa de comidas tradicional con producto de temporada y especialidad en platos de cuchara, fabada, fabes con almejas, pote asturiano. Cachopo, y variedad casera de platos veganos
This restaurant is 8 or 9 kms out of Oviedo to the South West, just outside a village called Las Caldos (hot Springs) where there is a large spa complex. This is family run bar and restaurant in a tiny Hamlet, you can easily miss the Restaurant - it is bright blue - this may help! It is set on a hillside with a great view over the river valley below. There is a large terrace and a small bar area, once you go inside there is a friendly welcome, and your are shown through to a large dining room, along with a semi outdoor and a further outdoor terrace dining area. They generally have a set menu, including a veggie/vegan option, as well as an a la carte menu. For 22 Euro you have a choice of three starters, three mains, and five or six deserts. We had the choice of:Fabada (local bean stew similar to Cassoulet) , Octopus and prawn Carpaccio salad, salted cod pate, Cook your own steaks on a hot mountain rock, Wild boar casserole, Grilled Fish.We had the Octopus, Salted Cod, Grilled fish and Wild Boar Casserole. All were great, good portions, - not too big, but lovely fresh ingredients, well prepared and with very friendly and helpful service. All the puds seemed great, I got the impression that they would change frequently. So slightly more expensive than some "local" restaurants, but a great experience, good quality food, in an ideal location. We will return.
Driving through the mountains south of Oviedo, we stopped here for lunch. Salade for 2, and parillada straight from their bbq.Owners were nice and friendly. Enjoyed it a lot.

We stopped here for a quick, light lunch, so decided against having the menu del dÃa, which offered three courses for 8.50 euros. However, my mixed salad was enormous and the platter of ham and eggs was over generous. Standard of cuisine was basic, the waiting staff were responsive and the ambience was friendly and relaxed. OK.Bootess, Thank you very much for posting your opinion about us in the tripadvisor community, for us it is very important, we hope to have you again as clients. receive a warm greeting. Laura

What an amazing lunch we had here. A large group ate under an hórreo and we were served by the owner. Plenty of food. Bring your appetite. If you get a chance to eat the foods of Asturias, do so, and you couldn't go to a more picturesque place.

I stayed already 2 times now in "La Casa'l Cura" and I love it.The house is from the 17. century and affectionately restaurated by the owners. The food was very tasty, so we stayed already two times. I can warmely recommend the mushrooms with ham and asturian cheese sauce, the salads, the typical asturian chestnut stew and not to forget the homemade "Sacher-cake" dessert, delicious. The owner wrote also a book about dishes "with tradition" and is very friendly. You can also sit outside in the beautiful garden and stay overnight in a big, beautiful apartment upstairs for a cheap price.

Nos encanta el mundo de las setas y la gastronomÃa, en la Senderuela encontrarás la combinación perfecta entre la cocina tradicional y los platos más singulares en torno a las setas
We are here for the whole of our 2 day trip (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and just loved it. Incredible, freshly prepared, home cooked food. Tomatoes from their garden. Really tasty, hearty food and vey generously served. Ask the staff for recommendations and you won't be disappointed.

Having walked 6 miles of the beautiful Senda del Oso from Tunon, we arrived in Proaza hungry but found L'esbardu had not yet opened for lunch. From the outside Benjamin Casa Clemente didn't look much, but the menu del dia called to us. Inside we found a friendly welcome and were ushered to the bar's dining room. We ate salad, beef stew, caramel custard and rice pudding, all homemade, while the children had chunky homemade burgers with eggs. The ternera guisada was outstanding, with large chunks of beef that simply melted in the mouth. The friendly waitress generously offered us second helpings, but we were filling up rapidly. The house wine, bottled locally, was light and refreshing. We loved this authentic little bar, which apparently has been owned by the same family for three generations. I've had some mixed meals in Spain over the years, but Benjamin Casa Clemente has given me a whole new appreciation for honest, tasty Spanish cooking.

Only 1 waiter and 1 waitress serving, and this was in high summer season. To boot, only the waiter takes orders. When we arrived, the waitress attended to us, took our drink orders, brought us the menu. Then we were forgotten. In fact, another group who arrived later than us had their orders taken before us. Even hand-waving techniques failed. When we were eventually attended to, he didn't even apologise. He probably wasn't even aware. So, go if it isn't very crowded. Go if you like meat. And, oh, be careful of where you sit. An orange missed my head by a miracle!Full review in my travel blog.
