We went here on a rainy day for Menu Del Dia and had Pote Asturias- delicious mixture of beans, ham, morcilla and cabbage and probably other things!; Merluza with chips chocolate mousse all washed down with a bottle of Ribeiro white wine for 12 euros each! The Pote was particularly good- recommended and friendly waiting staff too.

We had a lovely lunch in this restaurant speciallizing in seafood. Had the menu del dia of clam starter and tuna main. Clams were super fresh, tuna was very good, but watch they don't over cook the tuna! Charming owner brought us a new plate after we noted that the tuna was overdone! All washed down with a very good house Albarino! Most of the locals seemed to be sharing the huge seafood platter of spider crab, mussles etc, for 35euros. Would recommend the town and the port-side restaurant! When we go back we will do the seafood platte!r

This wasn't our first choice for a meal in Luarca but the other places we had in mind were shut this evening so we went here. We ordered revueltos with black pudding (morcilla) to start followed by rice with lobster. The starter was fine. The main was way too salty and distinctly lacking in lobster - some legs and bits of exoskeleton but very little indeed of the inside meat. We should have sent it back but complaining in Spanish is not my strong suit. So we ate, paid, and quickly left. Can't recommend I'm afraid.

We are here for the festivities of Sant Timoteo. WE have two young girls. After the parade, I pulled up trip advisor app to find a restaurant that was rated well, family friendly, nearby, and with a view. This restaurant did that. I tried to make a reservation, but it is first come first serve. We got there at opening, 13:30. Fried sardines were the best i have had. Nice, but very kid friendly. Has indoor, patio seating with a view of the harbor and walking street.

Welcome was warm and it was helpful to have a translation of the fish names. The smoked anchovies were amazing but the whole crab was verging on disgraceful. If there hadnât been a language problem I would have sent it back. The crab was watery and I suspect had been frozen. Either way the crab was shell and no flesh. Service was good.

The Villuir is a Spanish version of an American truck stop. Located on the N-634 on the northern Camino road along the coast. Large parking lot filled with cars, trucks and buses. Enter into the bar for drinks and tapas or go deeper to a nice seating area with table cloths and linen napkins. We stopped for lunch mid week and had a nice meal of fabada (Asturian bean soup/stew) with great bread. It was served in a soup tureen and there was plenty. The bar held mostly truck and bus drivers (the international sign of good food) and the restaurant hosted families, working men on lunch break and what seemed like a group of businessmen for a lunch meeting. Our waiter was very attentive and there was an english menu for help ordering. The Villuir seems to be a local stop and also nice place to eat as you pass through the region.

Comida tradicional, comida canalla y toques de comida fusión española, mediterránea, francesa todo hecho con mucho amor y cariño
This restaurant/bar is a lively, local place full of happy and diverse customers. The atmosphere is great with good music and lovely staff who are genuinely happy to be serving you. They speak English well which is unusual in Asturias. We had the recommended mixed grill with chips and salad which was simple, good quality and well cooked. We were recommended to try a wine from Extramadura and it was delicious. We didn't know that Extramadura was a wine growing region so it was quite special to be introduced to it. A complementary 'tarta de abuela' with our excellent coffee made it a lovely evening and we will definitely go back.

We had lovely fresh fish for dinner with a salad. The portions are huge and had we known we would have shared. The restaurant has a homely atmosphere and good service. Prices are similar to others on the quayside. The staff/owner speak little or no English. Please do not let this deter you. The restaurant gets busy so book ahead. It is closed on Sunday evenings (not sure about Sunday druing the day)

Eleven of us and 3.30pm on Christmas Eve were accommodated without any problems. 4 of us chose the menu del dia which included fabada and picadillo con huevo whilst the others chose from the menu. Good service and the food definitively came up to expectations. It's run by a young and keen team. Definitively no problem in recommending for a casual lunch in a great location

We ate here while stopping for a quick visit in Luarca, simply because it was number one on Tripadvisor. We booked by phone and the owner said "I'll count you in", which is a bit weird and felt like it was not a true booking, but we went there at the agreed time anyway and after 5-7 minutes we got a table. We shared the warm cod salad and the octopus, and then we shared the main as well because we were not too hungry.. Fresh cod that was amazing. For dessert we shared the stuffed apples (with rice pudding) that was recommended by Diego, the waiter and owner, just to die for!It is a little place run by the owners (Diego the waiter and his wife in the kitchen!), really familiar and known by locals. It is only now that due to tripadvisor he is having more and more bookings and we heard him say it is a bit overwhelming, so please don't forget to book a table, but please visit this little lovely place!.
