We loooved this place. The food was incredibly delicious!!! and the people were very friendly and made us feel at home. We went twice while we stayed in Villaviciosa. There were plenty of other restaurants but we didnt want to risk it since we had so a marvelous experience. The best Zamburiñas and Pixin ever. Also, the best Arroz con leche ever. They have a very small menu but they have mastered it. Everything we ate was cooked and seasoned to perfection.

We where in Villaviciosa for a week to celebrate my parents in law 50th wedding anniversary. We stayed in a rural house. We found out about El Catalin, through TripAdvisor and as always, followed the reviews! The 1st time we ate at Catalin, was the actual day of the wedding anniversary. We were 9. We waited at the beautiful terrace for everybody to arrive. While we sat there, we aked for ome cider and they showed us how to "escancear" and even gave us a little plastic tool for the bottle to help you not to make a mess.!They accomodated us in a beautiful table at the corner with a wondeful view. The food was incredible. We ate mariscadas, almejas, fish, arroz con bogavante. Everything was delicious, right temperature, nice presentation and a lot of food.At the end of the meal, they bring you a pot of coffee for the table. Beautiful presentation and you serve yourself. They also brought us a complimentary bottle of Cider for us to toast.Three days later we repeated the restaurant since everyone was very pleased. The 2nd experience was as good as the first!

I have been there because Tripadvisor comments and score, I should say that I am 100% agreed. They have good quality and even being busy August, the service was excellent and quick. I recommend âparrillada de pescadoâ and if you have space for a dessert after that, order a âTorrijaâ this is basically delicious!!

Stopped in Lastres on route and chose this restaurant is at seemed popular and had an interesting lunchtime menu.I thought it was nicely decorated, modern, but wife was unconvinced by the ambience, maybe from the lighting. We were seated on a little upper floor overlooking the main restaurant which was actually very good as we could see everything going on.The choice of food was clear, we were only in Asturias for a day so Fabada for starter and Cachopo for the main, good portions (luckily this is a small sized Cachopo each) and couldn''t resist the rice pudding for dessert (although not sure how we ate it all)Service was good but not exceptional but the food was good and abundant
We ate dinner here, but the food was average. Which is a shame as it's so close to the harbour, ie practically in it, we expected the food to be better.Good view though.

We were looking for somewhere for lunch and whilst walking around the harbour we saw a chef cooking octopus outside this restaurant and as it looked very good we went in and were lucky to get a table outside on the terrace looking at the fishing boats. The two of us shared a platter of the octopus and then half a freshly caught sea bass which was as much as we could eat. Both were excellently cooked and presented. The waitress was lovely and helpful. A carafe of the house white wine went very well with the fish.

like I said, one of the greatest place to dine or have a drink and enjoy the sunset. I'm a regular every year in August; never been disappointed until now. Fair price. Go there, get yourself on the waiting list, stroll along the beach promenade and come back at the agreed time to sit. Try the squid in black sauce with rice and the (pricier) lobster

The views from this location are out of this world! The food is outstanding and the cost is moderately priced. Their wines are also excellent.

The location, the facilities and the views are unbeatable. The staff and management were pleasant and efficient and the food was very good. We had the pote asturiano, cachopo and grilled fish, all well cooked and tasty. Service time was a little slow due to the very busy day but we will return on a more ordinary day to enjoy the food and the great location.
