My family and I got the hotel booked at the last moment as the best available option at the moment of booking. The entire city was almost sold out because of the Eid holidays. I was happy to get a 'five star' (according to booking.com) at 600 SAR per night, I was quite skeptical though. The ratings and reviews made me confident while I had to cancel Mercure at the same destination because of atrocious reviews. Blue Inn turned out to be a Four-Star property, one of the first things I checked with them during check-in. Check-in was smooth and Fast. Mr. Ramadan was gracious and pleasant and considered my request to place us on the top floors. Though I had inadvertently booked twin rooms, they were so pleased to change the room with a king bed without any inhibition although it's a very high-demand season. One of the perks of arriving early for check-in, I do this all the time whenever I'm on a pleasure trip. The lobby is compact, however, the reception looked a little congested with the way they arranged the lobby. No welcome drink. Untrained non-hospitality-friendly guards. The sleep quality was very good. AC was smooth, although I felt a bit of a hiccup towards the end of the night, perhaps, humidity does it. Nothing worth complaining about. The carpet in the corridor and rooms are well maintained. The washroom is neat, a little improvement could have been done with a closed shower cubicle so that we could enjoy a dry washroom throughout. The towels were fresh and smooth. The quality of the toiletries could have been better with the same pricing if a cheaper packaging is considered, after all, it's disposable. Their restaurant, The Roof, seemed notable in the mountain city with an amazing view. The food was surprisingly good, I must say very good considering the averaging pricing. It indeed is a very good strategy rather than spiking the price unprecedentedly like in most Saudi hotels where people ended up not even considering going to the restaurant. The chef knows what he's doing, however, a little attention to the minute details viz salt and spices would render the best. Also, the captains who take the order should have been more attentive to the details which would improve the experience very much. It was very courteous of them to offer us a complimentary cheesecake and Arabic coffee after the dinner when I gave them my feedback. The pool in the basement is adequate with lockers, changing rooms, a steam bath, and showers. However, the cold pool was a turn-off considering the mostly-cold weather conditions, it should have been a warm pool. The pool towels had an excruciating stench of chlorine and they were quite run-down. The lifeguard was seen one day as all. The hotel has adequate gated private parking that is easily accessible, unlike some hotels where the basement parking is an exhausting affair. The hotel's location is excellent, and many tourist spots viz Art Street is within walkable distance. 'Tolie' - a Turkish Restaurant within half a mile from the restaurant is a great place to enjoy your dinner with a beautiful view. Considering the ascents and curvy roads, and scarce parking it may be better to take a walk than take your car to the nearby attractions.

It a nice new hotel that needs more to accomplish a full accommodation for all services. I was there for a business trip and they didn’t have breakfast lounge yet and the coffee shop inside was so expensive, parking lot is not ready yet as well. The best thing was the location which is very easy to hit the highway. Very comfortable room and bed.

Generally I don't have great expectation with hotels/accommodation at hill stations given my past experiences. But this time it turned out the other way. Rooms very good in size and fully furnished. Extra mattress and blankets available in rooms. Cleanliness very good. WiFi available. Bathrooms very good and clean. Hotel location was good too, all necessary stores and eateries around. Parking was easily available. Kitchen partially furnished. Cons: WiFi coverage in rooms is weaker. Microwave should have been available.

You get immersed into local design once you step into the room (pink wallpaper, over-ornamented ceiling, etc.) but that's OK because the rooms are very clean and new. And part of local means you get greeted with a smile, given until 6pm checkout for free, and any request accommodated... what else can one ask for? Small coffee shop near the reception. You want breakfast? Just ask the reception and they'll go out and buy it for you from a multitude of stores nearby. Very convenient location in a good neighborhood. Enjoyed an evening walk and the Bentley and other posh cars parked outside the villas are a clear indication. There's a pharmacy around the corner and a supermarket around the street with a small bakery if you want some manakeesh (lebanese pies). Didn't get to taste them because I went down to get some for breakfast but was told they open at 4pm. The weather in Abha is amazing. Walk in the sun at noon without breaking a sweat. My lungs may have been confused by the fresh air which is uncommon in major cities (since I live in a major city that is). Loved it. All this for less than $100 a night.

For the price, service is below par. The room is not cleaned, we had to ask to get fresh towels and toilet paper. Pillows are hard. Wifi is OK but not for streaming. Limited English is spoken. Located near art district. Single layer windows so quite noisy. Breakfast served in room and is acceptable but not great in any way. All in all, it is an OK hotel but for the money you pay it is to expensive.

What i can tell you is that the minute i walked into my room i decided to change the hotel and didn’t spend the night there. The hotel is not clean, there was a bad smell in my room. My colleague had the same problem and his bed was not clean!!

I spent one night here and i was awful. They do not accept foreign cards, and they struggled for 2 hours to get me change. The room is run down, filthy and sad. The AC was very loud and never cooled the room. Lots of street noise, late into the night. The room had no bath towels, and I hd to ask for one. Hot water ran out after 3 minutes. Wifi worked ok. The bed was very hard.
